XAPP Protein Energy with Caffeine
Xapp Protein Energy Drink
Cost: 31.99 (12 Pack)
Active Ingredients: Xapp Protein Energy with Caffeine contains 1 (16 fl.oz.) serving, which contains mg/% USRDA (whichever is available, or both, if listed) of the following: Calories 100, Cholesterol 5mg/2%, Sodium 40mg/2%, Potassium 140mg/4%, Carbohydrates 1g/1%, Sugars 1g, Protein 25g/50%, Calcium 6%, Magnesium 2%. Xapp Protein Energy also contains an undisclosed amount of caffeine.
Rating: 6.5 out of 10
We think of protein as a chalky well, hard to swallow taste. Xapp is the best new drink with a refreshing taste that we can barley say taste like protein! It's also meant to boost up energy for a more enjoyable pre- workout energy drink. Xapp is formulated to two types of cans that are combined to work together. These two drinks work together to formulate the nutrients you need to help replenish tired and growing muscles. Xapp energy is a carbonated drink that has a nice fruit punch flavor. Two negatives, it can leave your mouth a little dry (probably from the whey protein) and this product is only available online in bulk.
Bottom Line: If you are looking for some pre-workout energy before you hit the gym, Xapp can be your GO to drink just for that!

- Drink entire can contents to ensure speedy escape.
- Fill can with rocks, then throw can at Zombie.
- Substitute for gas mask in case of toxic cloud.
- Use can to collect rain water. Boil if necessary.
- Dispose of can properly. Sounds of litter can alert Zombies to your presence.
I definitely dig this catch phrase they have going for them, Survive the undead. The Zombie world is very popular and engaging. The worst part about this drink is it is only available online. Such a bummer when you are out to scout the latest energy sources.

Street King Energy Shot
Street King Energy Shot
Cost- $2.99
Active Ingredients: Caffeine, acesulfame potassium, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate and sucralose
Calories- 0
Flavor- Orange Mango
Rating: 9.0 out of 10.0
![]()
Street King Energy Shot Orange Mango comes in a 2.5 fl. Oz. bottle .The color scheme is smooth, with black, gold and purple covering the bottle. This shot which is endorsed by 50 Cent, claims to give six hours of energy. Let's see what it's got!
Right off the bat I noticed that the shot was smooth and very tasty. Street King uses zero sugar in this shot so I was impressed with the overall flavor. This shot contains about the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee, which can vary. So, it's safe to say this shot contains anywhere from 80mg-150mg's of caffeine. I definitely noticed a surge of energy that's for sure, the six hours was on point. After consuming with ease and enjoying the flavor, I read a statement on the back of the bottle. The energy company Street King is owned by rapper 50 Cent, which I thought was pretty cool. Every time you purchase a Street King Energy shot you feed and child in need. I will definitely be keeping that in mind when I purchase my next shot.
Bottom Line: I gave Street King Energy Shot (Orange Mango) a 9 out of 10 for its overall balance of flavor and steady energy throughout my day. I liked the fact that the shot had zero sugar and not to mention that by purchasing a Street king Energy shot you're helping feed a child. Great shot, great cause.

Diabolo Dragon Fruit Plum
Diabolo Dragon Fruit Plum

Active Ingredients - 14 grams natural cane sugar, caffeine free, %20 daily B-vitamins
Calories- 50
Flavor- Dragon Fruit
Rating: 9.0 out of 10.0

Diabolo is a new player on the market. I just reviewed their energy supplement Diabolo Loco, and was immediately won over by the product. I was intrigued by the uncommon flavors and was curious why they call it "sophisticated soda" . I decided on DFP (Dragon Fruit Plum) to enlighten me.
Diabolo Loco is a brand new drink available for your immediate consumption in the greater Los Angeles area. It features a highly unique mint flavor that comes from it's origins in France known as Diabolo Menthe.
Diabolo Beverages have spiced up the French favorite by adding massive amounts of B-vitamins and beneficial ingredients sure to shake up the American energy drink market.
I like the packaging of Diabolo Loco with its black and green color scheme, and the beverage itself is clear in color and looks quite refreshing. My favorite aspect of the whole package is the price. It is by far the cheapest choice in your local energy cooler, being offered at $1.79 for a 16 ounce can.
Diabolo Loco is light and refreshing which offers a sweet mint flavor I found quite palatable. I also liked that I had no issues dusting the whole canister compared to beverages like Monster that has to offer cap cans because people don't like to finish the whole drink.
The amount of caffeine and the gargantuan bundle of b-vitamins Diabolo Loco contains is enough to keep me buzzed for a couple of hours. It has more then enough of your daily b-vitamins and contains other ingredients like taurine that keeps your motor running. I found this drink to be the perfect fix for my 2 o'clock lull.
Bottom Line- I rated Diabolo Loco Menthe a superb 10 out of 10 because of its combination of taste, price, and kick. You won't find another beverage like this that can offer what Diabolo has to offer and I recommend you search this out if your around Los Angeles.

Are you ready for something brand new on the market? Don't you want a cheaper and unique alternative to stereotypical energy drinks that taste like crap and cost you $2.50 for 8 measly ounces?

CAF Fusion Energy- Java Jolt
CAF Fusion Energy- Java Jolt
Cost- $2.29
Active Ingredients - Coffee, Ginseng, Taurine, and Caffeine
Flavor- Java Jolt
Rating: 8.0 out of 10
After having a pleasant experience with CAF Fusion's Mocha Blast beverage, I was looking forward to trying another. The Java Jolt flavor comes in a 12 oz, eye catching blue bottle. Remember, you need to shake the bottle well before consuming.
When I first noticed the flavor I assumed it was going to taste like any other iced coffee. I mean, what can you really do to make your flavor stand out, right? Well, the answer is a consistency. Usually when I drink and iced coffee it tends to lose flavor towards the end, not with this one. The people at CAF Fusion definitely know how to find that balance to make their beverages enjoyable to the last sip. Not only am I impressed with the balance, I have a feeling this product will be a big hit for coffee drinkers.
Bottom Line- I rated CAF Fusion's Java Jolt flavor a 8 out of 10. I enjoyed the beverage overall and was pleased once again with the mixture. I would definitely recommend this product to those trying to start out their day, or looking a quick boost towards the end.

CAF Fusion Energy Drink
CAF Fusion
Cost- ??
Active Ingredients - Coffee, Ginseng, Taurine, and Caffeine
Flavor- Mocha Blast
Rating: 7.0 out of 10
Are you tired of your normal coffee routine? CAF Fusion's Mocha Blast is a great alternative to your basic cup of Joe. I personally prefer iced coffee, so this beverage was right up my alley being that it's refrigerated.
The Mocha flavor tastes like a cold glass of chocolate milk, which is fine by me. The blend of coffee and chocolate was full and very smooth. Loaded with Caffeine, this drink will definitely energize you while keeping you alert. I would recommend this beverage for those who want more of a boost from their morning beverage.
Bottom Line- CAF Coffee Energy drink packs a big punch by combining coffee and energy ingredients into one bottle. I liked it and rated it a 7.0 out of 10.

FeelGood Energy
FeelGood7 Energy
Cost- $3.00 for 2.0 Fl Oz
Active Ingredients - Green Tea extract, caffeine, taurine, malic acid, guarana extract
Calories- ???
Flavor- fruit something
Rating: 8.0 out of 10

The guys at FeelGood7 Energy sent me their new product for review and the companies focus is all about taste. Shots are usually heavily concentrated and sometimes can taste quite disgusting. I tried the Euphoria product first and after seeing that "taste matters" I was looking forward to being impressed.
Euphoria is obviously the energy product they have launched and I must say the taste was superb. It was a mixture of berry flavor with no medicinal aftertaste and no gritty particles floating around. I'd say this tastes better then most shots on the market, and it's not as sour as other good tasting shots such as AMMO.
The kick was a bit lackluster when compared to many intense energy shots, but that could fare well seeing how most people don't enjoy the 5 Hour Energy flavors. I didn't notice much of a kick but I think I've built a strong tolerance for energy shots/drinks. If your a lightweight this might be a good product for you to try.
Bottom Line- I rated Feelgood7 an 8.5 out of 10 because it tastes great and might bridge the gap between hardcore energy drinkers and average people who just need a little pick me up on a long commute home. I was happy with the product and look forward to trying their hangover and sleep product in the next couple days.

Relaxzen Day
Relaxzen Day

Calories- 0
Flavor- Mellow Berry
Rating: 8.0 out of 10

I know it's been a while but recently I received a couple samples recently from smile.ly including their energy and relaxation products, both of which are in 2.5 Fl oz bottles. I have seen Relaxzen in person before but never before on store shelves.
They name the products Day and Night, in other words, focus and relaxation. First one I decided to try was the "energy" version in the orange bottle. While I think the label is average and nondescript I think it adds a bit of legitimacy to the product.
I wasn't overly impressed with the viscosity of Relaxzen Day, but the flavor Mellow berry was quite enjoyable. You have to make sure you shake the bottle up well before you consume and even then it still had particles that haven't dissolved enough for my liking. In their defense the product taste and function made up for this minor detail.
Relaxzen is a different sort of energy shot on the market. It is centered more around awareness and focus, and while this is no equivalent to Adderall (which I know nothing about..) it does sharpen the senses for about 45-60 minutes. It has no jitter effects and while I don't know the caffeine count Relaxzen seems like a better alternative when compared to high sugar energy drinks. Another plus was the zero calorie count and zero grams of sugar
I rated Relaxzen Day a 8 out of 10. I appreciate companies sending me samples to share with the public and I felt Relaxzen is a good product that sets itself apart from the pack. Their other product, Relaxzen Night was equally a pleasing product and I will post the review shortly.

Monster Khaos Energy + Juice
Monster Khaos Energy + Juice
Cost- $2.49 for 16 Fl Oz
Active Ingredients - Caffeine, Ginseng, Taurine, L- Carnitine
Calories- 140
Flavor- KHAOS
Rating: 9.0 out of 10
![]()
Monster Energy is mainly known for there Original black and green can, so when I saw the colors on this one it caught my eye. Monster Energy KHAOS comes in great colors, black, grey and orange that really make this product pop.
Since KHAOS is 50 percent juice, I wasn't really sure how it would taste but I decided to give it a shot. Wow! This Energy drink has it all! The first sip was pleasant and was full in flavor, yet very balanced. Once again, since this drink is 50 percent juice, it seemed thicker than a normal Monster, which I liked.
The flavor reminds me of Orange Soda, which, for me, is a great taste. Half way through the can I noticed that the taste never seemed to get boring, this drink was mixed very well. The energy was definitely there, the flavor made it that much better.
When it's all said and done Monster Energy KHAOS is a great drink if you feel like trying something out of your norm. I personally rate this beverage a 9 out of 10. I will definitely not hesitate to purchase another Monster Energy drink with juice. Enjoy!

Amp Energy Overdrive
Amp Energy Overdrive
Cost- $2.49 for 16 Fl Oz
Active Ingredients- Caffeine, taurine, guarana, yerba mate, panax ginseng
Calories- 120
Flavor- Cherry
Rating: 9.0 out of 10

Amp Original ranks as one of my top 5 all time energy drinks, so I was looking forward to trying the new Amp Overdrive. Amp Overdrive is cherry flavored and comes in a 16 fl oz can.
It contains the usual amount of B vitamins, and contains a trace of Yerba mate which the can claims help "Turbo Boost" your concentration and tackle whatever else you encounter in your life. Pretty vague description and already I know if this product doesn't taste good I'll drop it like it's hot.
After you've consumed as many products as I have you notice that they're all the same in the end. Energy wise, most non-shot products don't provide much boost for me anymore. With that said I have a dismal outlook on any energy product actually turbo boosting my lazy ways.
Amp Overdrive is a variant of Mountain Dew with a shot of cherry in it. I don't know if that's a two ounce shot of cherry but it's pretty dominant and tastes terrific. Drinking Amp Energy is much like drinking a soda, refreshing and full of sugar, with no medicinal aftertaste.
The great taste is a easy way to consume 160 mgs of caffeine which I can't deny, will jump start anybody's morning. No matter how used to caffeine you think are, this much in one can boost anybody's lazy ass out of bed. They should issue Amp Overdrive out to the 11% unemployed gamers in California rather then give them money to spend on Call of Duty, booze and pot.
Bottom Line- I rated Amp Energy Overdrive a 9 out of 10 for its superb taste and intense amount of caffeine that is extremely effective if your interested in the "energy" part of energy drinks. It contains a noticeable boost that many others should take note of. Nice Job Pepsi Co.!

Tilt Premium Malt Beverage
Tilt Premium Malt Beverage
Cost- $2.29 for 24 Fl Oz
Active Ingredients- Caffeine,taurine, guarana
Calories- It's Beer, They don't Say
Flavor- Tilt Green
Rating: 6.0 out of 10

It's been years since I first tried Sparks Energy Beer with no recollection of it's quality and when I heard 4 Loko was being banned, I was enticed to see what the hoopla was about. I went down to the local liquor store and noticed some real energy looking beers in the fridge (bright colors and "Tool" font). Naturally I picked up the brightest biggest drink that stood out to me and Voila! Tilt Premium Malt Beverage.
Tilt must have had four colors which didn't list the flavors so I took what I thought would be lime. As I poured into my glass the brew is a green liquid that smells like any energy drink does.
It tasted strong and initially had a sharp bitter taste at the forefront but then finishes out with little to no aftertaste. I was not pleased with the taste and I didn't look forward to finishing the 24 oz can but it was manageable. Plus for your reading pleasure I knew I had to finish the can to see if I could feel a buzz or not.
Tilt Premium Malt Beverage is 12% alcohol by volume and when I finally was able to guzzle it down the booze was working its magic. I'm a lightweight therefore this was suffice enough to get my blood moving and a slight head-change. I didn't notice any usual energy drink boost effects since the booze was the active ingredient that took control.
Bottom Line- I rated Tilt Premium Malt a 6 out of 10. I can't see myself ever going to the liquor store on a weekend night and purchasing an energy brew in the future. I'll either be mixing my Red Bull with Kettle or stick with the default 12er. Tilt offers no energy boost and therefore no reason to waste any money on it again.

420 Hemp Energy Infusion
420 Hemp Energy Infusion
Cost- $2.49 for 8 Fl Oz
Active Ingredients- Caffeine, vitamin b's, guarana, taurine, hemp seed
Calories- 0
Flavor- Purple Dank
Rating: 6.0 out of 10

Proposition 19 might have failed to legalize marijuana here in California but that doesn't mean the stoner's have given up the fight to include Mary Jane in all aspects of life. So now some potheads have come up with 420 Hemp Energy.
Now thinking from a business standpoint, how many people are in your demographic? And of those people in your demographic, how many of those people are really going to get off their unemployed butts and go buy a beverage with male weed (hemp) to give them "energy"?
I hear crickets chirping and this is LA. Well the guys at 420energydrinks.com thought maybe if we just label the drink with 6 slogans all referring to pot that it'll get enough giggles to sell some product. I think the presentation of the can is consistent with what a stoned businessman could draw up over a bowl of some Maui Wowie.
The taste was okay, somewhat similar to Red Bull but I don't think I make the switch. I guess I was just happy it didn't taste like 3 month old bong water. I never noticed any energy change, The vitamin levels and caffeine were consistent with other 8.4 oz energy drinks but maybe I'm starting to build up a tolerance because 420 Energy Hemp Infusion didn't do diddly for me.
The fact of having Yerba Mate and no sugar is a positive and part of the reason why I gave the drink at least a six rating.
Bottom Line- I rated 420 Hemp Energy a 6 out of 10. I've seen product like this before (which have all failed), and like Prop 19 the basis why this will fail despite some clever slogans is the lack of motivation and support. Stoners would love to see the Proposition pass but which of those people are going to donate to the campaign? Unless they start selling this at Del Taco and Mcdonalds I don't see many people continually purchasing this shotty product.

Your Mom Energy
From a Guest Reviewer - Matt
I just got Your Mom Energy and gave it a try.
Name: 10/10
Taste: 8/10
Price: 6/10
Overall: 8/10
Overall, the taste was on par with other energy drinks. It had a unique taste, but if compared to any drink on the market, I would have to say it goes with Red Bull.
The price was a little steep considering it was $3 per can + the price of shipping. However, I did break down and buy it because I thought the name was great and I could add it to my collection.
However, I don't expect the drink to be a blow-out hit unless the price comes down and it is available everywhere. I wasn't able to find any stores that had it in my area and after contacting the company it seems that they are working with a few companies right now, but they wouldn't disclose any names.
Overall, I would be a repeat buyer (again..only if the drink becomes available in more places). The taste was unique enough for me to choose it over other brands.

Monster Energy Dub Edition
Monster Energy Dub Edition
Cost- $4.99 for 32 Fl Oz
Active Ingredients- 320mgs Caffeine!!!!, Taurine, Panax Ginseng, L- Carnitine, Glucuronolactone, Inositol, Guarana and Maltodextrin
Calories- 440
Flavor- Grape
Rating: 8.0 out of 10
![]()
If you couldn't tell by the obnoxiously large picture. Monster Dub Edition is gigantic, it comes in a 32 can that only us big boys can handle. This behemoth consists of 4 servings and 440 calories! Needless to say it's nearly inhumane to consume the whole beverage in one sitting. Take your time and enjoy the grape flavored drink.
Dub Edition is still a Monster at heart but grape is the most dominant flavor with a slight aftertaste and no preservative burn. I was pleased with the flavor and had no problem absorbing every last drop. Though the taste was delicious I still don't think that's the best part of Monster Dub Edition.
I've tasted and tested many energy drinks the past year, and none have had as serious a rush as this puppy had. I probably devoured too much for my own good... I could feel my heart pumping faster then normal and experienced some jitters, but nothing that bothered me.
Too often lately I feel little to no effect when I try a new energy drink. Needless to say I was stoked when I FINALLY met my maker in accordance to caffeine. I doubt this is healthy for you in any way, with almost 4 ounces of sugar this will rot your teeth overnight.
I read an article today about banning some energy drinks with alcohol in them, well let me say i think Monster Energy Dub Edition would taste grape if mixed with the proper booze. Definitely not good for you so keep it in moderation. (wink) I'll go more in depth on that article in my next post.
Bottom Line- I rated Monster Energy Dub Edition an 8 out of 10, mainly because the cost was so high. Had it not been for the price I would've have given a perfect score. Monster onces again nails it head on and delivers a strong product in partnership with Dub Magazine.
