Well, to the King I salute you. Although you are rarely found for cheap you are the best E-drink. Taste great and works. Thats why I like it. Got hella sick one night drinking too much Rasberry Stoli w/ this so I don't do that anymore. Also, the best Red Bull knock off is Mad Croc! Mad Croc rocks cause it's cheaper. The cheapest you can find Bull for is the 4-Pks. They cost 6.99 so you save a whole buck. A gas station by my house once had the 4-pks for 5.99 but that was the 1st time I've seen em that cheap.

Before Red Bull or any of the others, there was the "Lizard" Green Tea, by Sobe, which is a great energy drink not just 'cuz of the GT but the sugar too. Then the same company came out with the ginseng, guarine, zinc, and all those energizing ingredients.

First time I tried Red Bull was last year before school. Never again will I let that vile filth slither down my throat. It works to energize you but tastes like rotten old-hairy-man-ass. Never tried it with Vodka but Dr. Pepper does... Bawls rules. Vamp rules as well. Red Bull is shit. Drugs are for pussies, not the other way around.

The vodka Red Bull combination can be lethal. Alcohol is a depressant, and the stimulants included in Red Bull (caffeine, etc, not to mention the addition of unstudied amino acids) can cause abnormal brain function.
This is a very bad combination and its use can only be attributed to those who seek this type of abnormal "high". Not a good deal. Don't do it.
Red Bull by itself is bad enough, but the vodka addition should not be recommended for use.

Alright I have the last two comments to adress:

First taurine is not urine from a bull. It was supposedly an amino acid that was in high concentration in bull testicals... I really dont even know if that is true, but all of the taurine in redbull is synthetic... hence fake. So dont worry about drinking Bull urine... your not.

As for the "deadly combination" I am certain it is not, for I would be dead about a hundred times over. I do understand that it is not recommended to mix stimulates and depressants, but it doesn't usually kill. If you would like to write about why it is medically bad for you to mix depressants and stimulants I would love to add it to my post about energy drinks and the risks and dangers related to them. As for the amino acids, yes it hasn't been studied that much, but that doesnt instantly make it dangerous, there has been some deaths that might have been related to redbull but many of the users were being unsafe and having like 4 cans a day, the equvilant of 8 cups of coffee. I will agree that their needs to be more research into it, but it seems to be harmless in small doses and infrequent use, seeing as millions and millions are using these products currently responsibly with no problems. Thanks for your opinion though, it is interesting to hear what people have to say about these drinks.

i was hooked on amphetamines (i was a heavy user) and when i decided to clean up i only managed it on my second attempt using red bull to give me the energy i was desperatly needing-anyone who has stopped taking amphets for any period of time will understand what i mean when i say you are totally and utterly zombied. so i'd definatly say it works!!

I think Redbull is great, but the other day I tried Lost energy drink, and that stuff is ridiculously good, it's way smoother than redbull, and just tastes better. Plus it's made by a surf company that is totally chill, and nothing's better than buying a product from a company you support.

I ONLY drink the Red Bull from Thailand, it is in a brown glass bottle. I find it very cheap in chinese or cambodian grocery stores, $1.00 a bottle in Montreal. I love the sweet taste (like Galiano) and it mixes well with any fruit juice. When I drink it I feel a little "high" sometimes so I do not need to add anything else with it. If I drink too much of it I get cramps and I start having dry cough, my body telling me to give it a break. It does not seem to have a cleansing effect on me, rather a stimulating effect. I used to be addicted; I limit my consumption to one bottle a week these days.

Red Bull does indeed give people wings but if you drink too much you do indeed become dependent and addicted to it. im not sure about other people but i use to drink Red Bull atleast 3 or 4 times a week it worked great to keep my mind going and getting me great test grades but my girlfriend realised i had an addiction to the stuff so she asked me to stop drinking it for two months straight. it was the hardest thing i have ever done. in the end i went back to drinking the stuff because i enjoy the melted down smartties taste but as of recentley i have heard that my faveorite drink aka Red Bull is bad for your health an will effect you in your adult years so i might have to give up this amazing drink for good. if anyone has any information on why this stuff is bad for you please email me or something let me know.

THe key is to drink atleast 4 or 5 Red Bulls combined with coffe(not mixed together) before a sporting event or working out. The warning on them is just to protect them from lawsuits from people who mix it with booze. A cheaper alternative is Red Rain. Exact same ingredients. Dollar cheaper. The only dependancy or addiction that can occur from this product is that of caffeene. It has the same amount as your average cup of coffe. 80mg. But hey, more than half the world is addicted to coffee.

The red bulls drink is basicaly a stimulant, the caffine makes you more alert just like the feeling you get after a coke or pepsi, but the amount of it in this volume is much higher. The glucose is a substances that's similar to sugar and makes you have more carbohydrates leading to energy.
This is not really a energy drink, it's basicaly a high amount of caffine and glucose dissolved in water. Drinking high amounts of this can cause internal bleeding which is caused by the veins poping due to the high pressure from the caffine.

I have enjoyed Red Bull, but have switched to XS because of the better taste, in my opinion, and the variety that Red Bull and others does not offer. RB is paying the media $hundreds of millions$ for their marketing/ad campaign...put 2 and 2 together. Of course the USA media isn't going to say that RB is dangerous.

I had my first Red Bull (sugar free) before a 2 and a half hour Kung Fu class on a Saturday morning. I was really alert and full of energy. None of the other energy drinks I'd tried before pumped me up like this. This includes XS, Sobe and Amp. I didn't mind the taste, but I wasn't that concerned about how it would taste anyway...just whether or not it would deliver the energy I wanted.

I drink it buy the 4pack np and have even drank 8 cans a day np without any side effects.

I think Sugar Free Red Bull is fantastic. I have been drinking it for about 3 weeks now and I find it gives me the energy to carry out my day to day activities as well as a regular exercise. Since taking it I have lost inches off of my body and seen a coresponding weight loss which I believe to be sustainable, unlike other crash diets. Previously I use to rely on last quantities of Ephidrine and I have found that with a Red Bull here and there I no longer crave for the other stimulants which were very unhealthy for me to be consuming.

In response to highangel, taurine is now synthesized by the manufacturers. You may already know that but just wanted to comment. Haha, I know who thought taurine was derived from bull jizz. We made a bet, I won, and he pretended to forget it.
RedBull is very good, esp. the SugarFree.

Well, I tried many other brands u name it. I was driving from Vancouver to Toronto, about 8000kms and between each city I could try a different energy drink. Redbull helped me stay up for 15 HOURS! Non stop driving and I can prove this becasue I had only 6 hours of sleep the day before and I started driving at 7PM from Calgary AB to Vancouver BC which is about 1100KM apart abd I did this drive through winding mountain hwys at PITCH DARK NIGHT! BTW I had to drink 1 RedBull every 2 hours to keep myself up, I dont think 1 or 2 cans would have helped. I ended up drinking 8 Cans over the course of 14 hrs.

We all love Jager Bombs, now try Cherry Bombs. RB and Cherry Vodka. MMMMM Just watch out for bars that try and pass off immitation RB. Ask for the can!

Okay I'd probably attribute that to the alcohol. You or whoever made the drinks prob got the ratios wrong or something. You can't have a heart attack all day, unless you're trying to tell me you have the abilities to control the flow of time. Heck Red Bulls works far much better than coffee. however, i've been skimming down this forum and there are so many comments from people saying that they have mixed the energy drink with alcohol and that they have drank more than 2 cans per day. I'm concerned because it seems to me that people aren't really reading the fine print on the can. It does say that the drink should not be consumed more than twice a day and should not be mixed with alcohol. People should take into more consideration and read the fine print before consuming anything powerful like Red Bull to reduce any health risks.

Unfortunately, I drink too many energy drinks to really feel the effects now, but I have to say that Red Bull is by far my favourite.
However, it does give you horrible gutwrenching stomach pain, I've noticed. What's the deal with that? I always wonder if it is giving me a stomach ulcer or something.
I do liek AMP as well, though I find it gives me the judders. Full throttle just tastes like soda and doesn't do anything, and I may as well drink juice instead of sobe. It doesn't do anything.

As far as RedBull is concerned, I will drink about four or five, one right after the other. It's a lovely drink. It tastes just like liquid Smarties.

Yes, the original mass produced energy drink. Now, before I bash this little puny can for being mainstream, I would also like to say that it may well be the best (or the worst) drink out there. It's the most common energy drink, it's STILL overpriced (I'm Canadian and a lot of shops seem to have the balls to sell this stuff at 2.99 a can). BUT the taste is original, and the point is, virtually EVERY energy drink around these days tries to copy RedBull, with either a 'cheaper' version, or a 'tastier' version, but there's no comparison, this drink is the one that started it all. If you like a bitter, planty, not too sweet (REALLY good chilled, or mixed with alcohol) then this drink is for you. Drink 2 a time, the rush is good (but not really much like Monster's, which pwns all). I dunno what else to say, it's... an okay "energy drink", but it's not the one I would choose over normal sodas just for taste.

Had a coworker that drank eight cans of RB on a lunch break, was dead as a doornail by 2 pm, heart stopped after artery ruptured. RB's the best!

When I could afford it this semester I was doin jaeger bombs all the time. I'd do 8-10 in a night before headin out of the dorms, do this 2 or 3 nights in a row, and drink beers as well. I only weigh around 160 pounds, my heartbeat would go up, but nothing like having a heart attack. I like Red Bull. Tastes great, especially warm, and delivers a great kick, almost like a high. Best of all, unlike coffee and cheaper drinks or sodas, it does not set my ass on fire or make my skin feel sticky. Glucose is the key to the latter. I searched for a discussion like this because of the high effect and wondering which ingredients are affecting me this way (it's not the caffeine, believe me), and also wondering if anyone notices a marked effect it has on dream quality. I make a point to chug one right before bed. Good for dreaming and for my wife, if you know what I mean.

I've been drinking redbull and other energy drinks for about 15 years, its all I drink appart from coffee. Redbull works best because of the surgars it contains, cheap drinks contain plain sugar that is not as effective .. and it makes you fat!. The sugars in redbull need less work to break them down and you get the energy quicker and more effectively. I drink about 4 redbulls a day, mainly because of cost, i'll drink upto 3 ltrs of kick (Tesco cheapy) a day in the summer. In my 20's I managed 1 hr sleep a night, now I have about 5 at age 39. Boring fact Maggi Thatcher ran the country on 1 hrs sleep a night .. like it didn't show ;)

OK im only 15 and i can drink 4 day and not have any efect but my friends can drink up to 11 a day and there pulse is insainely fast like they just ran for 30 minutes as fast as they could, and the most i've ever heard any one drink was 12 and hen the died but i might be wrong.

Well id just like to say that redbull is great but be careful with it. I just got off a red bull drinking binge 5-6 cans a day for a week, that stuff stopped efecting me after bout 3 days in terms of being pumped. by the end of the week i was just spaced out big time. it took me bout 2 weeks to get over it... so yeah weird

Red Bull is actually good for you believe it or not. I work for Red Bull here in Houston TX. I had a lot of misconceptions about the brand before I started working for it. The can actually has less caffine than a 20oz soda and everything else in the can is produced naturally in your own body. The catch is, if you drink one and you don't need it, than it is possible to get jittery, etc. but if you drink the can when you actually feel tired or "down" than you should have an uplifting feeling. The 8.3oz can is all that your body can use, thats why the can is that size, anything more than that and your body just flushes it out and you are pretty much just consuming extra liquid. Due to marketing though, Red Bull is actually testing a 16oz can in Las Vegas right now. They used to be totally against it but I guess the brand has to evolve sometime to match with what the consumers want. As for using Red Bull in sports and things, it isn't dangerous, just make sure to drink a lot of water with it, as you should anyway.

Red Bull mixed with alcohol is bad, alcohol is a depressant and red bull a stimulant.. meaning that ur body doesnt no how to react and most people get really sick or they have tumours ect. BUt if you drink red Bull just like that, how come people still react negatively?? I try all the energy drinks from time to time. One of my favorites was "whoop ass" it tasted like wild raspberries. I cant find it anymore. a few dont do much at all but if I need a guaranteed boost I go with old reliable Red Bull

For the last six months to almost a year, my in-take of doing jager bombs has steadily increased. This weekend alone, I would have come close to doing 40 jager bombs. I'm concerned about my health but I love this drink more than ever. When I go to sleep it doesn't feel like I'm sleeping, its like the party is still going on. Then it's even easier to get up and get going for next night of partying. Everyone else is on gear while I'm still smashing j-bombs into me. It's crazy. I can't just do one.

Redbull is okay, I've had it a couple times. The only thing is, Redbull has arond 75 mg of caffeine, no more than that of an average cup of coffee (which has about 90 mg of caffeine). So what's the big deal of this stuff? I know it has taurine but that is a aminoethanesulfonic acid, sorta like an animo acid, but slightly different. But the punch line is taurine is a scam (to me, at least), because you already have a good amount of taurine in the muscle tissues of your body. So the only thing that is really effecting you is the caffenie, which is in smaller amounts in this stuff. I know, also Red Bull has vitamin B12, which is found in many foods. But is doesn't really give you "energy". But to hell with is stick it in vodka, it still tastes good!

I've only tried Red Bull three times, but so far I've found that it really works. I'm a computer programmer, and I often do work that demands the maximum concentration you can muster. Every time I've done a Red Bull, it has been like putting my brain on steroids, and I've been able to blast through the toughest problems at an astonishing rate of speed. Also, it didn't give me the jitters that I get from drinking too much coffee.

As for the taste, I don't see anything so objectionable. It just tastes like a sort of tart version of Kola Champagne. Not that I particularly care what it tastes like. I'm drinking it for its kick. If I want something that tastes good I'll mix up a Mojito.

In response to some of the health questions:
Red Bull has only been "connected" with a few deaths. It was shown that in most of the cases, the deceased had drank several Red Bull without any other liquid such as water, then engaged in strenuous activity (one guy drank 4 cans, then played a heavy basketball game). Red Bull dehydrates, so obviously that is an error of common sense.

When I first tried Red Bull, I didn't like it. I thought it tasted like every other energy drink out there, bitter and sharp. Not only that, but I was told to drink it because of the energy boost, but after a whole can I was asleep within half an hour. Nevertheless, the next day I drank another. I actually liked the taste and decided to have another while at work. Each one I had tasted better and better. My point is, it has some addictive qualities in some people. I had 3 Red bulls within 4 hours one day. It still doesn't pump me up, but I love the taste!

I think the bottom line here is use common sense. Energy drinks will provide a boost (like coffee) but dehydrate (like coffee)...so drink fluids...(like water!) when engaging in strenuous activity. Also don't forget to FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE CAN! You're not supposed to drink more than 500mL per day. There's good reason for that. You're not supposed to mix with alcohol either. Energy Drinks are uppers....alcohol is a downer - cross tolerance effects = ALL BAD.

I had jager bombs many of times and the only effect this drink had on me was that I couldn't remember everything from the night before. It's similiar to the drink called a mind eraser.. I do have a point here Last night I drank one double shot absolute and cranberry and three beers. Mind you I was feeling pretty buzzed and then a friend suggested a red bull to counter the effects of feeling drowzy.. I listened and said I'll give it try and it didn't effect me until 1 hr later I was twice as fucked up. I was laying in bed and starting to feel extremely nautious and I swear my heart was palpating so fast.. It scared the shit out of me I went to the bathroom and I lost control of my balance and hit my head on the floor.. I was shaking and feeling hot and cold rushes through my entire body until I dragged my woobly ass outside. I was able to maintain balance once I sat down and put my head between my knees TG for that. This was definetely the single most scary experience in my entire life it was like coming down from a major drug induced high.. Just wanted to share with everyone.

redbull is horrible. It has one the worst tastes ever and when miixed with vodka it still sucks. Amp is the best and if u want to mix vodka and something u can never go wrong with mountain dew livewire.
