Pitbull
Cost: ??? mexican pesos (8.3 oz)
Active ingredients: Taurine, B6, B12, Caffeine, Glucose
Rating: 7 (out of 10)
This isn't bad if your looking for a redbull imitation this isn't a bad choice especially in Mexico where it is more available than red bull. It has the normal almost natural energy drink taste that we have come to know and love. I mean this tastes like a energy drink should. it is pretty sweet though. It also doesn't cover the alcohol very well. It probably covers about 30% which isn't to bad and honestly i would have to say it covers better than most of what i have drank this trip. Not bad definitely worth a try the energy isn't bad at all. Seriously it is good energy it makes me want to run around and dance.
Can is in Spanish I could miss things like other ingredients it contains.
website: Pitbull
This energy drink is one of the only energy drink products that has no sodium in the product. Pitbull is loaded with b6 and b12 vitamins. This product is substantually cheaper that redbull to the retailer. Therefore making it a more profitable product. Pitbull tastes just like redbull and has the same energy benefits. I would ask that you try it or ask for it in your neighborhood store. i give this product a 8 out of 10.

Posted by: Mark at June 30, 2005 06:29 AM I bot this drink at Bevmo in rancho cucamunga and it was nasty dont ever buy this drink !!!
Effects the same as RedBull, tastes the same as a watered down Bawls. A good mishmash, but it's still not a great one. 7.7/10 for a nice crisp citrus taste.
Posted by: Scott Armitage at October 27, 2005 04:14 PMI would like for you to re-review the Pit Bull Energy drink.
You compared it to Red Bull and I highly disagree! First of all, it works better than Red Bull, Red Bull put me to sleep.
Also, you did miss several ingredients that Red Bull does NOT have. This is based on Red Bull's website and the following shows their main ingredients. The following are the "common" ingredients that the two share:
- Taurine
- Caffeine
- Glucuronalactone
- B Vitamins (but Red Bull's website does not elaborate on which ones)
The following ingredients are found in Pit Bull and NOT in Red Bull (according to RedBull.com):
- Inositol
- Niacin
- Vitamin B-12
- D-Pantothenol
- Pyridoxine HCL
- Guarana Extract
- Ginseng Extract
Important NOTE: No after taste!
The question would be this.... If these are found in their Red Bull's drinks, then why aren't they listed on their own website? Customers should know what their drinking.
Anyway, send me an email and let me know your thoughts. I'll see about how to get some out to you. No promises, but I'll make an effort.
Take care & God bless,

I have tried both Bulls. For me, as a long distance runner Pit Bull is clearly the superior product. First it has no medicine aftertaste, second it has vitimin C which the red one does not. C helps promote muscle function and repair, that along with the fact that the Pit actually keeps me awake makes it an easy choice when I'm out running 100 or more miles. (It would also be beneficial to those who party and dance.)
Since I do not mix my Bull with alcohol, the drink has to stand on its own merit.
this energy drink is ok but dont comper it to red bull red bull its been on the game for a while this is a baby comp,,,not even close and it will never will be.....
Posted by: oscar at October 2, 2007 03:07 PMi had a pit bull and loved it i actually mixed it with some alcohol and man i had real fun with it. I will choose a pit bull any day no after taste and it gave me a lot of energy. I hear they have more products but i can't find it in my local store
