Here's a energy drink I like when I'm low on cash and need a lift. Pure Power comes at a relatively low price tag, but I was able to get 2 for that. I don't know if any other 7-elevens have this deal but they usually do a 2 for one deal with the worst selling energy drink. Flavor-wise this is a strangely refreshing sour (not bitter, a rarity for an energy drink) citrusy lemon-lime drink. It's almost as if someone poured lemon juice into 7-up. If anyone here has ever drank lemon juice straight up (I have) they know how it makes the roof of your mouth burn and sometimes your throat, too. This was the major problem with the drink, but it only started after the 2nd can for me. As for pump-upedness this kept me alert and awake in the hours I'd usually crash out for about 3 hours, letting me down easy. There was no jittering or jumpiness, just controlled energy that made sure i was awake. I could easily drink this fast without getting an upset stomach like Red Bull or Rockstar. The flavor that kind of smacks you does a good job with vodka, too. It was fine right to 40-45%. Overall the cost, kick, and flavor masking make this into my top energy drinks.

OK, this one I did not like. About the only thing it has going for it is the fact that it is small so I was able to finish the entire thing. Had it been regular sized I would have pitched it about half way through. Shotz has one screwed up flavor I can
