If these drinks are all about energy with its main ingredient "CAFFEINE" and loaded with sugar, calories and artificial ingredients and preservatives you should be changing you drink to something that realy works.

Rock star, how creative. Its just one of about 12oo other energy drinks all using the same crap. At least Red Bull was the pioneer of energy drinks not some no brain thinking imitators. i do not work for rockstar or anything. I gave it a good reivew because it is basically the exact same crap as redbull as you said, but you get twice as much for the same cost. Also besides caffeine you get energy from taurine, guarana, and other stuff in the drink it isnt just about caffeine or red bull wouldnt have made such a splash as it did... thier is a noticable pump up effect from it... so I still stick by rockstar being a good buy... i genereally dont want twice as much energy drink so i go for cheaper versions in the regular size. Rockstar IS the best energy drink ever! I stumbled upon it one day going into Sunoco.. the reason I went in there to begin with was to get some Red Bull. Then I saw these HUGE rockstar cans... Took a sip and almost everyday since then Im drinkin Rockst*r.! :)

Oh and to that person who was bashing RS because its lack of caffeine.. You get energy from Guarana*which is equivalent and more expensive than caffeine*, Taurine.. etc...

Full throttle isnt that good, nothing compared to monster or rockstar.

Rockstar has "Siberian" ginsing in it. A potent form of ginsing and red bull does not. Not all energy drinks are the same. The cheap ones rely on caffine. U guys should try reading the backs of the various cans and ull see what im talking about. Or just take my advice Rockstar is the best one for the $$.

Diet Rockstar is my life source. I am hypoglycemic, which is the opposite of diabetic, and I can get my energy burst without any side affects to my sugar levels. I am doing a research paper on it and all of the research i can find, says Rockstar is best, Red bull comes close, but Rockstar is better tasting and better for you on almost every website and review I can find.

I hear a lot of good reviews for this product and I am assuming these are by people who get this product from their local retailer but to anyone thinking about ordering online you should think twice. First of all customer service is terrible. They will take your money but you will be lucky if you ever see the product. If you don't believe me, call the number they have listed on their site (702) 939-5535. You will get a live operator but she will put you in voice mail and you will never get a call back. Good luck...don't get suckered like I did.

Costco here in PA had Rockstar on clearance. They were selling cases of 24/16oz cans for $9.97

The founder of rockstar's parents were both nutritionists--thus he grew up learning about what he has put into the drinks. It does have different ingredients to give you energy.

I usually start the day with a rockstar, I have tried Monster and I can see where people get the idea it tastes like apples, albeit very chemically altered apples. I have been drinking energy drinks like this for about 2-3 years now I started with Redbull and have tried the Hansens, Monster, No Fear, Kick Ass, etc., If they have made a drink that has the word energy in it I have consumed it.

STOP DRINKING THESE ENERGY DRINKS. Unless you are hellbent on your own destruction, which it seems some of you are.

First off the stuff makes you piss fluorescent colors, that can absolutely not be good for you, it gives you horrible heartburn, I get chest pains, I get burned out right after work and can't find the energy to go out and do anything I just mope around and my fiance' is starting to get a little pissed off. The stuff is chocked full of caffeine which has been proven to cause anxiety attacks that could accelerate into a cardiac arrest. Basically you are talking about your life, the people who have said that they have drank 13 in a few hours your risks for cardiac failure are double for every drink you add to your system, the caffeine accelerates your risk for cardiac failure.

When you drink these energy drinks you increase the acidic content of your stomach and that has to go somewhere, your stomach is already full of hydrochloric acid if you add something with the ph value of 8-9 = to a 16 ounce lemon juice cocktail you are going to disrupt the natural integrity of your stomach, you could develop ulcers. If you are having heart palpitations discontinue using any caffeine related beverage. For your own good just stop!

Look I know I'm addicted but today I just realized my heart hurts, my head hurts, I am popping antacids like they're candy corn, I can't get to sleep on time, I can't wake up without one, my bladder feels like it is always full and after I urinate I have to go again and again like I can never empty it. I get irritable when I don't have one. It gives me the same sensation drinking a Rockstar as it did when I used to submit to my craving for a cigarrete. I crave the drink and when I wake up or go out on the weekend my first thought is to rush out and get a rockstar first, I even started to buy them by the case. It will clog up your sinuses and throw your thyroid into chaos. I know I lost weight on this drink but it wasn't because I was moving around and getting a workout, it was because I had a reduced appetite. I lost 26 pounds on this stuff but It was more of a crash diet than a healthy alternative lifestyle. If you need to lose weight get your ass to the gym, don't use any energy drink if you're going to work out it also increases the chances for cardiac arrest.

I went to 7-11 yesterday (July 6, 2005) and I was getting a Rockstar Energy drink, when all of sudden the clerk asks me for my age (I'm 17) and said that I couldn't buy it because there's a new rule/law that there's a little bit of alcohol in it. And I told him that I've bought many Rockstar Energy drinks before and I never had this problem; and all he said was, "Sorry my friend." I looked at my previous cans of Rockstars at home and none said it contained alcohol.

Good good! Smart idea, really. Approved by nutritionists this drink offers two ingredients not often found in energy drinks. Ginkgo, the disputed memory enhancer (but proven to improve overall circulation), is present. Also, milk thistle extract is there. For those who don't know, this is one of only 2 plant extracts known to lesser the effects of alcohol and subsequent alcoholism/hangovers. The other would be kudzu. This is my fav drink, other than Monster Assault.

I guess all of you who are getting Rockstar for the cheapness drink well alcohol. The taste of Rockstar is disgusting! Why would I want something that does everything to imitate the real thing! I guess there is a market for people who want a "bargain", but if I am spending my hard earned money - give me the real thing - I want Red Bull!!

I myself am a big monster fan, but after moving onto campus, my access to monster has been limited (unless I wanted to walk really far or go all the way out to my car). So today I gave this drink a shot because it is close.

Due to some dorm craziness last night (while I was trying to fall asleep), I woke up today rather tired, and I could tell I wasn't going to make it through my entire first 2 hour class without something to help me out. I decided to give this a shot. I was shocked this morning when I was charged $1.09 (total price w/ taxes and stuff) to get a full 16oz can. That just made my day. On a side note, though, I went again today to pick one up in case I had another slow morning and didnt feel like going to get one, and I was charged $1.99.

I drank the whole can over a period of about 15 minutes. By the time I was done drinking it, I already was feeling mild effects, which over the next 10 minutes or so started to become stronger. The peak intensity of drinking the one can was very nice and strong. I was pretty suprised at that. The taste also kinda suprised me a bit. At first I thought it was kinda bad, but as I drank more of it it became better tasting. This is usually the opposite of what I get from most energy drinks. Recently testing out full throttle it tasted great at the start, but quickly started to not taste as great. I still prefer the monster taste over any other I have tried so far, but taste is all a matter of opinion.

The drink succeded in keeping me well awake for the entire 2 hour class. By the end of the class (about 3 hours after drinking) the effects were definitley starting to wear off, but still there.

I really liked the energy given off of this drink, and I think that is the main thing it has going for it. I can see how a lot of people may not enjoy this taste, though. I myself, don't find it to be horrible (but it could certainly be better). I'm curious to test the effects of two cans sometime (I have interesting results when I do that with monster heh). 8/10 seems to be too harsh for this drink for some reason, and 9/10 seems just a BIT too good, so I would say 8.5/10 :P. Very good drink for energy!

On a side note, I did notice that my urine was slightly strange in color (not blatently, but just slightly off) to the tinge of green. Although I found that slightly disturbing at first, there are far stranger colors urine can be (blue urine being the strangest IMO), and I'm pretty sure there is nothing bad associated with it turning this color. If I remember correctly, food color can have that effect, so it may be something along those lines.

Damn this drink ownz! Each night on my evening shift at work i have a 16oz can, and it fuels me until the morning!
On parties i mix a 24oz can with red wodka (about 1:5 ratio, which equals almost 3 full cups), and it makes you feel like a REAL Rockstar (even though you realize you aren't), so this really works for me.

I love rockstar. So much better than redbull, as its twice as much for the same price, and exact same taste, maybe rockstar is a little sweeter. I started this site back my softmore year in college cause I have loved energy drinks... Then I drank them daily, now I drink one a week or so. Anyways, they are only bad for you if abused, much like every other substance, many of them have nothing more than high caffeine in them so it is just like drinking coffee, addictive yes, but not harmfull.

Rockstar sucks...the company has links to conservative Talk Show host Michael Savage. The flavor tastes like rotten sweet tarts. The Von Dutch off shoot is cheesy. Von Dutch is cheesier than Ashton Kutcher's new line - Zoo York. Gimmicks. Even the name is cheesy. Party like a rockstar? lame. Several of the posts on here are from employees it's obvious.

Rockstar is a solid energy drink. Sure, the packaging is lame. But so what? Do you wanna drink it or pose with the can? Just tried the Von Dutch version. Has a more complex flavor, but pretty damn nasty. I'd take a Rockstar over a Monster, which doesn't hit as hard. I'd take a Diet Rite Cola over a Full Throttle.

uhm...i'm not too sure about drinking energy drinks and reading the most up-to-date comments, it seems like it can cause problems. the box label doesn't recommend more then "one/day". i'm thinking "one/week" after high workouts. should it keep addiction/medical problems away? =\ stupid question i know, but it'll make me feel better with other people's input

For all those out there buying energy drinks all the time just be informed.
Your money could be better spent elsewhere, while obvious it is so commonly overlooked and ignored. Stick to relying on them on the days you are going to try and tackle a large amount of work. Also, know that if you continuously consume caffeinatted beverages your body's normal mechanics will cease thus leading to the "I need one to function" state. Do your research! Realize that flooding your system with large volumes of caffeine is pointless a lot of the time due to the information regarding adenosine receptors in your body. If some of you would be more conscious of the amount of money you are putting into buying these drinks and think about more useful expedentures such as investing, mutual funds/IRA accounts etc. You would be amazed at the growth of small sums of money over long periods of time. I will reiterate this point, it is safe as long as it is not abused. Much of America wakes up to a glass of coffee(caffeine). I say use it only when you need the extra pick-up and for the rest of the days just drink a good amount of water and get the proper amount of nutrition. And if possible get your lazy ass up and go run, exercise people it will do wonders for your quality of life.

And the cheapest way of all...MASTURBATE!..most of you do it anyway so wait (if you can prolong your exorbitant indulgence of self-gratification that long) until you are getting tired to do so. It is the "quicker picker upper" (no pun intended) and can work to give you a bit more effective time and sometimes you can catch a second-wind off it.

So now i'm done and still up right now possibly due to the rockstar I had a couple hours ago, or maybe the no-doze that I washed down with the rockstar. Either way it's been a while since i've purchased either. And my investments are growing as I type.

I have to admit that it does taste alot like redbull, but has queit a kick in comparison. The lable does say that it is one of the most powerful energy drinks in the world, and I agree (I've never actually seen a drink with so many drugs and energy herbs on the label before...)

Rockstar is pretty cool cause all the stars have been seen carrying it, but it doesn't taste nearly as good as Diesel and is less powerful (Diesel has 6000 horsepower or miligrams of energy components). That REALLY ROCKS!

Buzzwater owns but it tastes just like water. Red Bull is smaller and still has the same amount of shit as Rockstar. Bawls owns Rockstar anyday but Buzzwater overall has way more caffeine than any of these drinks.

I like rockstar. Gives you lots of energy and a strong kick. Probably my favourite energy drink. It is about the same as Monster but I choose this one just because it's a bit cheaper in price.

Rockstar is by far the best Energy Drink I have tried and it has so many other ingredients....It Rocks- I do wish the can looked a little less like a beer can! The cola flavor really tastes like cola. My brother from San Antonio intruduced me to my first Rockstar and I have been drinking it ever since.

I have yet to find an energy drink that acually does anything for me... I don't know, I've been drinking coffee since I was a kid, I think my body is numb to caffeine. I could drink 3 red bulls and still fall asleep. People tell me "Oh, try this one! I just drink half a can and I'm wired for the day!" I drink 2 full ones, and still doze off. The only thing I've found that seems to keep me awake is cold medicine. You know, the kind that says "may cause drowsiness." yeah. wierd.

I started drinking Rockstar everyday for about two weeks now. Before I would drink a diet Red Bull, maybe one every three days or so. I have really bad thyroids "Hy-po" So I am taking them for energy. Because anyone who knows about "Hy-Po" you have no energy and gain weight all the time. And not because you have a eating problem. But I have notice that lately I'm been sick of my stomach a lot. I'm just wondering if any one with "hy-po" has experience this. And what has Rockstar done to you.

i'am not a kid. i'm thirty four. on april fourth i said i had come again. the night prior to that had drankin a rockstar. i admit i love energy drinks, but they are harmful. drink one every week, thats okay. i only speak the truth.

I just want to say that I do not, in any way, work for Rockstar, but I'm totally addicted to them. I mean, I will literally wake up and crave Rockstars, even a week after I quit drinking them because I know I shouldn't.
However, diet Rockstar (which is what I drink) has several good ingredients in it like Milk Thistle, which has shown to prevent or even reverse liver damage, and it also has something called "siberian ginseng" or eleutherococcus senticosus which seems to be very good for the human body- you can read about it at http://alternativehealing.org/ci%20wu%20jia.htm, or google it.
Another thing-- For those people who say that we could be spending our 2 or 3 dollars on other things besides energy drinks, which have shown to be pretty damn safe, we could be spending our money on other things, like cigarettes, which are deadly (Although I'm sure many people on this forum smoke, I'm personally a non-smoker and therefore think I am spending my money in a good way when it comes to Rockstar.)
However, like I said, to diet Rockstar, I am addicted. I definitely think its better than all the other energy drinks-- even Stinger-- ...Lost is almost up there but Rockstar wins everytime. Its the only one I literally crave.

Rockstar is yummy, however Monster is yummier! I'm taking one with me fishing today. I may let some of the fish drink a little, but I'm not 100% sure yet. We'll see. I'll keep everyone posted. I think that this energy drink(rockstar) in particular is okay. If one drinks coffee every morning, then why not drink one of these with added benefits like the herbs. However, it does contain a lot of acid, so I only drink these under extreme measures like studying all night or having to work on a few hours of sleep. I take herbs anyhow, so I usually just stick to my coffee. But what I like about this drink in particular is the added bonus of milk thistle, ginko, etc. It completely cured my hangover once, and the taste is good with a mild peppermint flavor which was real soothing to my hangover. Plus, it really does it's job by waking me up. I don't think it should be drunk everyday though.

I had a terrible experience with rockstar. I had one the other night, didn't even drink the whole thing. Suddenly my arms and legs started tingling, it was hard for me to breathe. It was like I was having a panic attack except with these odd heart palpitations. I was scared for my life. I ate a bunch of food to try and help the symptoms, which finally wore off I was left scared and confused but when to sleep knowing I'd never drink one again. However, the next day I ended up in the hospital because of serious heart palpitations, shortness of breath, numbess of face and hands, disorientation, nausea and sweats. They ran many tests and because of no previous heart conditions or anything else that could cause my symptoms, thay said it must have been the rockstar. Now I'm not saying rockstar is bad for everyone, but I hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Try taking a 20 minute run to get some energy.

For the record, heart palpatations haven't gone away and are now a daily nucence.

If you like Rockstar I recommend you try Rockstar Juiced. The can says it is made from 70% juice. It tastes great mixed or straight. I'm just wondering what 21 is going to taste like.

I dont know, Rockstar definetly has what it takes to pump you up but it has such a crapy shitty taste tho. I personaly dont care much about the taste of energy drinks cause all I need from them is the pain blocking caffeine for lifting/running but any sane person, I just cant see them agreeing with that Rockstar tastes good. Also for the users who drink this shit every day, please take it easy, depending on this thing for your energy isnt good and the withdrawal or when the caffeine expires in your body is pretty bad. THe better alternative is to just take up running. Get shitload of more energy from that then anything else.

Not a big fan of this one. I actually think it's among the worst I've tried. Tastes too much like Coke. Strangely, I think it made the muscles in the back of my neck tighten up for a while. I didn't feel like finishing the rest of what was basically more highly caffeinated Coke, so I poured it out.

For anyone concerned about the color of your urine from drinking Rockstar... that is only from the vitamin B in it. If you take a vitamin B supplement all by itself, it will do the same thing. Vitamin B is a bright yellow and readily passes through your system.

I am 99.9% sure that extra body hair is not a side effect of rockstar energy drink. If that were the case, people would be complaining about it, but since we are not 14 as you are, we know better. Once you get into a biology class (when you -finally- make it to high school), you'll understand. Maybe.

Anyway, as for the energy drink itself, I am a convert from Red Bull. I drank it almost every day to be able to function when I had early classes. The first time I tried Rockstar I was still a Red Bull afficionado, and the cherry-cough-syrup-aftertaste repulsed me. However, I bought a second can a while after that and really enjoyed it. It's loaded with B-vitamins (which is probably why your urine turns a bright yellow-green after you drink it), and it's less sickly-sweet than other soft drinks. Typically in one day I can drink 3-4 soft drinks (usually mello yello or mountain dew), and by sipping on one of these babies I get less caffeine. Unless I am looking for a pep-up to get me through a long day of college nonsense, then I drink it fast.

I've tried them all...and I love diet rockstar. I have been drinking it since February; 2-3 cans a day. The stuff keeps me going without changing my personality!!!

Hey, I drink rockstar every time i go to play paintball... It tastes great but it has nasty side effects, Dont get me wrong it has an awsome kick. But you gat a crash and a stomach ache if you dont have anything to absorb all those chemicals.. I do have quite an addiction to tham and it has taken quite a toll on me... Like the past few mornings, I have woken up a 3-5 am and this is when i had a rockstar the night before... Its all about personal prefrence folks...

RockStar is the best. what I like is the vitamins - its not just the caffeen - but the added B's B12 B6 etc.. that make it so great there is the up but not that crash down when it wears off like you get with other drinks ( red bull ) but RockStar had the gental down - they just really need to do something about the price.

This stuff has an awful aftertaste. It tastes like Red Bull at first and then has this taste like cough syrup. Avoid this stuff, it's aftertaste isn't worth it, drink Monster instead.

OMG!!! I had ROCKSTAR for the first time this morning and it was amazing. My friend and i decided to buy a 4pack and we are drinking the other two tonight. All week I have only gotten a few hours of sleep each night and i felt a definate boost of engery after drinking it!!

YO! Rockstar was the first E-drink i tasted. Although i didn't get into them until a while later, I loved it then and love it now. i think it tastes like moxacilin, you know that pink medicine that you took as a kid. Yeah moxacilin was delicious....

I love this stuff. The first few cans were nasty(they were sitting around for a few months though).Rockstar was the first enegry drink I had. Now I drink a it when I need the enegry. You can't chug it like coke or even monster. I do like the taste of it though. I had 3 cans one night before I had to do stage crew for a show. I had no side effects. I was a whole lot more awake and alert though.

Just so no one else worries anymore about the different colour of your urine after drinking a rockstar or any other energy drink, that is from the excess of B vitamins. Your body has a hard time absorbing them and it sheds the excess through urine, giving it that bright colour. Same thing happens if you are on a multi-vitamin. So, no worries there.

ROCKSTAR IS THE BEST ENERGY DRINK. All the stores around my house used to have it, but they replaced rockstar with bookoo shit. Tasted the bookoo and it sucks. Bring back my Rock.

yum... rockstar is so good!!!! a friend bought me one today since i was complaining in art class how tired i was... couldnt thank him enough!!!
only thing is... well i think that ive only tried 2 different kinds of Rockstar... and the are pretty good, just the taste is kinda weird and funky.... any suggestions on the best flavor??? PLUS... i get kind of a head rush that lasts for 3 hours or longer, and a weird feeling in my stomach... is that normal... plus i usually cant drink a whole can, just like half or something, and i have to share it with a friend... soo... all in all, i love Rockstar... but is there an even BETTER flavor??? post something, or email w/e thanks guys!!! and what a great site!!

The same thing happened to me around here. I went to a circle K close to my house and they asked for my ID when I brought a rockstar to the counter. I said "why, it's just an energy drink" she replied with..."becasue it's an ENERGY DRINK."
I got pissed off and told my friend in the truck to go in and buy it for me...when he went in...she said "I'm sorry sir, I refuse to allow purchase, because I refused his sale"

we both got pissed because there was no proof that he didn't just want one for himself. We probably could have gotten a lawsuit out of it.

Every other store and gas station in my entire area still sell them to me without carding. It just makes no sense. ...because it's an ENERGY DRINK. haha...not funny.

I agree that Rockstars are good for all-nighters. I I've only had 3 in my entire life. The first two were used for all-nighter purposes but the other caused some problems. I definitely wasn't expecting anything to happen when I bought a Rockstar and drank it at lunch. I completely went crazy. I felt lightheaded, my stomach hurt, I felt like I was rocking back and forth, and I had major anxiety, stress, and mood swings. These effects lasted for nearly 4 hours after the drink was consumed. I don't know why it happened or how but I know I don't want it to happen again. I bought a Full Throttle yesterday but I haven't drank it yet. I think I'm a bit hesitant to now. I really don't know what is in those things and I think we really should know before we drink. other than that, it's a pretty good drink.

I love rock star I has been my favorite but I tried a drink in a little red can called cocaine(they recently changed the name)to insert name. It is so addictive , it has a little burn going down but fruity, excellent!!!!Now I have 2 favorites!!!!

I've had my share of energy drinks like red bull, monster, bawls, etc...but in my opinion there hasnt been one that I've ejoyed and actually benefited from like RockStar, the taste is nice, especially the juiced ones and the energy is really good and long lasting 2!

I occasionally drink one here & there. i just drank a 24 oz can of "triple strength" (whatever that's worth,lol) Rockstar & i don't feel a thing. I feel like i could lay down & go to sleep. I am working, so i can't. I just don't see all the hype in this energy drink stuff. To me, coffee performs much better. IMO, RS does have a good taste though, no doubt about it.

I'm drinking Rockstar right now for the first time, and I have come here to see all the reviews to see what I'm in for. I'm a college student with an extremely busy schedule, to the point where I only get a few hours a night (and I don't party). I need the energy boost, so hopefully this works.

Oh, and for flavors, I'm drinking some wild berry type flavor. It's not too bad. It's the zero carb one. Not bad at all =) I like it better than Red Bull, I must say! I'm not one to drink energy drinks, though. This better work! I have a BUSY week ahead of me!
