Guru Energy Drink

Guru Energy Drink
Cost: $2.00 16 oz
Active ingredients: Guarana, Ginseng, Ginko Biloba, Echinacea
Rating: 6.7 out of 10

That is right I gave this a 6.7 not a 6.5, why well i have given a lot of drinks 6.5 and a lot 7 and this one is right between them, better than the average 6.5. Anyways I like the drink and it is all natural it has a smooth taste which is similar to redbull, but smoother, less sweet, and less acidic... Anyways, it is all natural and better for you than other drinks it still has a fair amount of sugar though. Anyways this doesn't pump you up a ton, but it is a nice slow and relaxed buzz. A better buzz to work or study on than the insane rush that comes from some of the other energy drinks that are better suited to partying. Anyways not to bad if you can find this around and want something that is slower and will last awhile without dropping you off an edge when it is done give this a shot. Perfect after lunch pick me up while at the office.

i want price for the energy dring

Although it gave a rush comparable to, like, 1 1/2 monsters (INSANE, but almost painful), I wouldn't drink it again because the so called "natural and original" taste is pretty bitter and is comparable with motor oil in smell. Rather unpleasant. 9/10 for the rush, 3/10 for the flavour.

I didn't like the flavor of Guru at all.

Posted by: Nyct at November 10, 2005 09:03 AM

i found guru to be completely useless, personally. i was fast asleep after drinking it.

Posted by: badtaste at November 19, 2005 02:22 PM

Guru taste like 3 day old ass.

Posted by: dman at November 30, 2005 04:16 PM

disgusting, but gives you ridiculous energy

Posted by: Ty at April 25, 2006 07:12 AM

gives tons of energy-tastes awful like sugerless grapefruit juice

Posted by: Ty at April 25, 2006 02:16 PM

This product taste so bad I wonder how come they are still selling it.

Posted by: Fred at May 1, 2006 04:41 PM

I like this one a lot. It looks like a lot of people complain about the taste, but it didn't bother me at all. Maybe because I don't drink anything but water-- no energy drinks or sodas, etc... and I notice that since I stopped drinking that stuff my taste buds taste things completely different.

Anyway, for someone wanting to get a little energy once in a while, but avoiding the major baddie chemicals and sugar substitutes, it's good.

The first time I tasted Guru I didn't like it. I had a 4 pack so I had 3 left. After drinking the 2 can, I started to like it. Now I love the taste.

The effect is smaller than the one other energy drinks (with caffeine) give but since it's all natural I prefer it.

Posted by: Sebth at August 18, 2006 12:27 PM

Yeah, the taste is not "all that", but you get used to it after a couple of cans.

Most importantly, this is the only energy drink available that has no (a) sugar or (b) aspartame. So, it is really the only "health friendly" energy drink. Aspartame is nasty and gives me a headache, and if I drink sugary drinks I feel like a high school kid (and I get a sugar crash an hour later.) Guru Light is the perfect solution. Hell, it tastes a lot better than Tab did in the 1980's, anyway.

This stuff isnt bad at all.....it tastes like fruit juice, but not quite as good, but it's not horrible like Monster....that is sweet ass juice.

this is a awesome energy drink and perfect for studying. I took it before a class that i would normally fall asleep in and i stade awake and was ready to go!!!

At least I can pronounce the ingredients on the side of the can in this one! Definitely my favourite, and I'm sad it's not available in LA.

I drink the Lite one too, sugar in drinks ruins my stomach.

I'm a HS Student who spends almost all night studying/doing hw and practicing mixed martial arts. SO I drink this during chem to keep me awake. It's an aquired taste. And I always bring a travel sized bottle of mouthwash with me. But IT WORKS really really well. Just make sure to take it after your chem test, unlike me. It was kinda hard to concentrate. Scratch that, it was REALLY hard to concentrate. For me, this is like ADHD in a can.

This energy drink is excellent, The reason why most of you don’t like it is because it is sweetened with Stevia, which tends to have a bitter taste if you have not adapted to it. If you are used to drinking soda, Teas, and other energy drinks they are loaded with high fructose corn syrup, which by the way is one of the worst possible things you could put in your body, (I have a degree in Nutrition) and it is also highly addictive why do you think Coke and Pepsi are so Profitable?. Not to mention, what other energy drink has Echinacea boost your immune system while boosting your energy levels. So for those of you who just don’t like it because of the taste , it is because the stevia, but at least your not pouring artificially made chemical sweeteners into your body stevia is from a plant.

i love this energy drink, Cocaine and Guru are my top 2 favortie energy drinks, but ima put GURU number 1 because of its availability, i can get it at shoprite right around the corner, but i also like HyDrive which im havin a lil bit of a hard time 2 find.

This is the best energy drink I have tried so far. Sweetened with evaporated cane juice and grape juice. I found it not as sweet as others. The only one to actually work without the crash afterwards. It in NO WAY tastes like red bull!!
Best of all it's Canadian!!!

Posted by: Jaime Grant at April 10, 2007 09:52 AM

Taste isn't the greatest but it's the most natural drink out there. And it's sweetened with sugar can juice rather than processed sucrose. Would much rather drink this than any artifical bullshit drinks that will get you in trouble healthwise.

Dude. This is a great website, but you need an editor. Seriously. I feel like an idiot while reading your terribly constructed sentences.

I usually do not drink any carbonated drinks etc., and most energy drinks are. But then I found GURU 100% Naturelle and Organic and it gives the perfect buzz to keep the eyes open and the fingers typing. You can buy cases from their website and get free shipping. I am sold on GURU for life!

I'm a long-time energy drink lover. I just need something to pick me up after launch and sometimes after work. I'm glad there's finally an energy drink that's not "full of chemicals" as I like to say. All natural, organic: what else can you ask for?
Guru Energy is my guru.
