Lo-Carb Monster Energy
Lo-Carb Monster Energy
Cost: $2.00 16 oz
Active ingredients: B6, B12, Taurine, Caffeine, Ginseng, Guarana, L-Cartine
Rating: 9 out of 10
Alright a drink i like. I like monster a lot, and I like the lo carb version... It might be even better because it isn't to super sweet. It only has 10 calories, so you don't have to worry about adding on the pounds like you do with most sodas. It just taste good and pumps you up. It also has only a tiny amount of sugar in comparison to most soda's, which I like. Overall the taste is very similar to original monster, and it seems to be just as effective. Perhaps because of the lack of sugar the energy has a bit slower onset, but not by much. It mixes well and for 2 bucks a can is by far a better deal and better for you than the original red bull. If you read my other reviews of monster you can tell I am a fan. So I say if monster makes a low carb Monster Assualt they may just become my favorite energy drink company. So send out some fear, and scare them away with a lo-carb Monster.

is this the drink with the blue M on it if so then yes I thought it was very good .
Anybody try go fast energy drink yet cuz I think its the best one out there but very hard to find !
Monster Rocks! Definately a good buzz! The first couple cans and lead to a bifg letdown and headache for those that do not hit the caffeine often enough!
Does anybody know the pH of this stuff? The ingredients list 4 different acids, mainly citric acid. My ulcer is telling me its quite acidic... maybe pH 2 or better.
Posted by: NoChat at August 26, 2005 08:16 PMI'm sitting here sipping on the 24oz version. That's alot of bzzzzzzzz. Love the flavor.
hey genius, the stomach acid in your stomach needed to digest food is below 2 on the pH scale. the thing causing your ulcers and stomach problems is bacteria...most likely H. Pylori, not Monster, nor stress as has been the urban legend. clean up your diet bro! also, the acid in lemons actually causes an increase in pH when its converted in your stomach, having a more alkaline effect in the stomach...not all acids have an "acidic" causing property.
Posted by: Paul at September 27, 2005 04:36 PMsmart boy! Mmmm Monster! :)
Posted by: Dee at October 5, 2005 11:39 AMBUY THIS IN BULK. I am in chicago and the price of one of these bad boys is 2.39 with tax, but I went down to sams club and found them in packs of 24 for 28.34. it cost me 35 for the membership, but I bought two packs of 24 and with tax the total per can came to about 2.01 per. So if you want this stuff in bulk thats the place to go.
Posted by: Brandon at October 18, 2005 02:22 PMActually better than normal monster energy, because the rush is much purer and less effected by the immense amounts of sugar in the original version. 9/10 for this puppy, nice drink. Love the guarana taste, just like a good brazillian soda
Posted by: Scott Armitage at October 27, 2005 03:47 PMTruly a yummy beverage that delivers the blast I need. Tastes like banana candy! Caffeine and B vitamins and L-Carnitine and Taurine never tasted so fruity-banana-fantastico!
Posted by: Sparkina at January 29, 2006 01:01 AMAwesome Taste... Terrible Addiction... I've lost 12 lbs in 30 days. Drink 4-5 / day... Will be contacting a distributor or going to Sam's club.
Posted by: James at February 4, 2006 07:48 PMI like the taste even better than the original Monster. Definitely the best energy drink I have tried (and I tried a lot).
Posted by: Daniel at February 18, 2006 02:30 PMDoes anyone know the meaning behind the "O" with the "t" through it on the Monster cans? Just curious.......

Posted by: John Bridges at March 20, 2006 04:00 PMWhere the hell do Canadians get Monster Lo-carb? Or Sobe No Fear sugar free? Or any sugarless/ carb reduced energy drinks? I'm sure its easy in Ontario and the like... but what about us in Alberta... Calgary for instance?
Anyways enough ranting... Monster is great... Besides the fact that I've gotta drop like 10 pounds and this mother is loaded with sugar, its awesome. One of the only enrg drinks without a horrible aftertaste. Barely an aftertaste at all. I have yet to try the lo carb version, but I'd buy a case or so if I could. Anyways Monster has way more value than Red Bull, and the only thing I like as much is Coffee. Double Espressos with chocalate and whip cream in the day. And Monster at night. Word.
Posted by: ff_mgs at April 3, 2006 11:45 PMMmmmm..Lo-carb is just as good as regular. If not, better! because it's not loaded with sugary sugar and calories. Therefore, it's replaced with.. MORE ENERGY SUPPLEMENT! woo for lo-carb!!!
Posted by: Chelsea at April 15, 2006 04:45 PMMONSTER ROCKS HANDS DOWN THE BEST ENERGY DRINK EVER!!!
I was just reading some of the post on here about monster. I use to drink monster all the time. That is untill I discovered a new drink. Guys I just want to let you know monster dosn't hold a candle to a drink called spark. Oh my gah spark is the bomb! It is only $1.42 a drink this stuff is scientificly proven to be better. Don't take my word for it go try it your self. By a box comes with 14 you won't regret it. Oh it is sugar free also.

You have to try the new hot energy drink that just hit the scene. It's XXXCITE, this stuff is unbelievable! It's big in New Jersey and making it's way to New York next. Ask your bartender if their carrying it yet.
Posted by: Jason at June 2, 2006 01:38 PMMonster Lo-Carb was a surprisingly pleasant energy drink. Monster didn't lose its flavor after it lost the sugars/carbs.
Posted by: Chris at June 6, 2006 11:40 AMSite favor energy drink:Monster Energy Drink lineup. Encouraging consumers to "declare war on the ordinary", Lo-Carb Monster Energy Drink& Assault comes in a distinct camoflauged package that is a first for the category.
Posted by: dane at June 10, 2006 09:59 AMWhat are energy drinks? My favorite Energy Drink is Monster Drink I love it ... Energy drinks are beverages like Red Bull Venom Adrenaline Rush 180 ISO Sprint and Whoopass which contain large doses of caffeine and other legal stimulants like ephedrine guarana and ginseng. Energy drinks may contain as much as 80 mg of caffeine the equivalent of a cup of coffee. Compared to the 37 mg. of caffeine in a Mountain Dew or the 23 mg. in a Coca-Cola Classic thats a big punch.
Posted by: dane at June 10, 2006 10:03 AMI really like all of the Monster flavors. If you
want a great mix drink, you need to review Monster
Khaos. Many of the girls I party with are not fans
of Red Bull, or Monster as a mixer. But, Khaos,
which is 70% real fruit juice, works wonders for them.
I like Assault, which is sorta like a cola
to me (mix between Dr. Pepper and something else I
can't pinpoint). Yes, if they came out with a low
carb Assault, that would be kick ass. Assault is
the first energy drink that tastes like a soda.
Most of the sodas who claim to act like an energy
drink have nothing on Assault.
Anyway, check out Monster Khoas, you will not be
disappointed.
Also, you need to add the Lost drinks into this
bunch (also made by Monster - i.e. Hansens).
Budweiser is now distributing the 3 Lost drinks
across the US. They are like Monster, but a bit
more carbonation.
Does anyone know where to get the contact lenses with the monster symbol on it...I have been trying to find them everywhere and I can't find them. If you know where to find them...send me an e-mail at: mistysilverwolf@yahoo.com.
Please...I've been looking everywhere...
Posted by: alexus at July 14, 2006 03:01 PMMonster Lo-Carb energy is totally worth a 10 score. It's the best sugar free (okay, I think there's like 1 or 2 grams per serving of sugar, which is hardly any) drink on the market--hands down. Matter of fact, it tastes even better than the Monster energy drink with sugar. It's unbelievable I know, but it's true.
Posted by: Kamaal Peterson at August 16, 2006 01:53 AMok peoples listen up. i've been drinking monster energy and khaos for a while now and frankly it's getting kinda boring. So I tried this a couple nights ago and damn it was good. Just buy a pack of Airborne Formula, orange or lemon-lime, (you know, the one you take for colds) and pop in a couple tablets into your favorite monster drink and OH MY GOD what a zzzzzzzzzing! Warning though, it fizzes, A LOT, so drink about a quarter of the can before dropping them in. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Plus it's a great way to fight colds, your favorite energy drink and an effervescent cold tablet, what more could ya ask for? ok, maybe a girlfriend.
Posted by: Jon Dasani at September 28, 2006 11:40 AMI chose Monster Lo Carb for several reasons, such as caffeine content, availability/cost in bulk, lo carbs, acceptable taste, etc. I usually drink one in the morning and rarely another around noon. I didn't make the connection at first with a very unpleasant side effect that results from the artificial sweetener sucralose in the drink. I read in a fitness magazine to avoid this and other artificial sweeteners that the body can't digest in order to prevent gassiness, bloating, and possibly diarrhea. At least one I can vouch for, possibly my neighbors can too unless they are deaf. Monster Lo Carb doesn't buzz me the same anymore anyway, so I am done with it. I like Khaos though...
Posted by: Hugh Jorgan at October 19, 2006 11:16 PMThe ginseng mix in this drink energizes my mind as well as my body in ways the other energy drinks don't. It doesn't have the side effects that "milkweed thistle" in Rockstar has.
While Lo-Carb Monster has me rocking on like Herman Munster or X-Men's Beast (instead of full frontal Frankenstein), I like the cerebral aspects of the drink.
Oh, and I don't miss the sugar crash! Taste the Blue!

Posted by: stephen at March 30, 2007 12:17 PMThe low carb monster is good for people who like diet sodas and what not, but it is not even CLOSE to the regular monsters. the buzz is equal, but its taste is incredibly different (due to the lack of sugar). If you dont care about downing this (and the extra $.10 per) use it. if not, go regular.
Posted by: joshwa at April 16, 2007 12:27 PMHas anybody heard of XS energy drink? It has no sugar, no carbs, only 8 calories and tastes better than anything you've tried. There are even 8 different flavors to choose from. email me and I'll tell ya where I got it from
Posted by: Mark at April 17, 2007 08:34 PMOMG.....My BF and I are terribly addicted to Monster lo-carb..he made me drink one a few months ago and I hated it, then randomly one day I started craving one, so I bought one and since cannot go longer than a day without one!

Posted by: KB at April 22, 2007 10:44 AMAre there any energy drinks, low carb version, that are in powder form? Similar to how Gatorade has packed in years past?
Please let me know if you are aware of any...seems like the way to transport in travel.
Thx. gdm
I have been drinking Monster Low Carb for over one year and it is outstanding. RockStar now has a new low carb version in a blue can that is simply outstanding. Berry flavor. I mix drinking the two daily for variety. Highly recommend them both.

Love the buzz, your addicted and need help.Frank want to know about health dangers? ABC News told a story of a guy that his heart stopped pumping blood and passed out, look up the dangers.Parents should sew the Monster Co. for selling these dangerous drinks to minors. Would you give this to your kids?
