I really couldnt tell a big difference between Sobe No Fear and Sobe No Fear Gold, with that said I still really liked the drink. I liked it as much as I liked the first Sobe product, if you can tell a big difference let me know, other wise I will just say grab either or, they are both quality tasty citrus products, and my favorite energy drink from Sobe. Below is my original Sobe No Fear review because all the same statements hold true.
SoBe’s No Fear was a nice little find for me. Not only is it one of the large 16 oz drinks, but it also happens to be one of the best tasting in my book. Having the mandarin, citrusy taste of Adrenaline Rush, No Fear also contains a large flavorful blast of a cherry juice like flavor (though according to the website it’s passion fruit). Where Monster Energy Drink is a great on a hot day, No Fear makes a perfect breakfast/early morning type drink that really wakes me up on my drive into work. With just a hint or grapefruit it has a nice little bite that is rounded off very well by the sweeter flavors it contains. Although there is a mild after taste it is neither overpowering or offensive like many other drinks. One of the interesting points of No Fear is that it contains Creatine…which to many athletes is a nice plus as Creatine is a great supplement for building muscle. No Fear quickly became my main drink for any type of pre athletic activity for this simple reason, and the big energy boost you get from it definitely doesn’t hurt….which brings me to the most important point….the energy boost….Yeah…wow. Kind of like popping 4 caffeine pills and a vicadin (soccer has taught me much through painkillers.) After downing a No Fear you definitely feel the effects…lots of energy, but at the same time you feel relaxed and comfortable….none of the nervous energy that you get from some of the other drinks out there, this one is done right. No Fear is DEFINITLY worth a try.

Posted by Dan at May 2, 2006 03:27 PMI thought Gold tasted significantly different from the original No Fear. The original No Fear tasted more strawberry to me where as gold was more pineapple and citrus. Both gave some major energy though. I prefer Gold by far.
Posted by: EnergyGuru at May 3, 2006 08:03 AMI noticed that they actually took the creatine out of no fear. I know it didn't really have that much of an effect to begin with, but.. any idea why they made gold w/o creatine?
Posted by: John at May 6, 2006 08:16 PMActually, I think the lack of creatine is what makes No Fear Gold different than No Fear...it looked basically like the exact same drink w/o the creatine...so for those who liked the taste of No Fear but were a little wary of the addition of creatine, this is the drink for you.
Posted by: at May 8, 2006 06:13 PMI think Sobe Gold has more of a citrus flavor rather than the cherry/raspberry flavor of original No Fear. But overall, I thought it tasted pretty good. I really like the exterior design.
Posted by: Greg at June 3, 2006 08:17 PMIt actually has less carbonation, which makes it easier to Slam!!!
Posted by: Travis at June 16, 2006 02:18 PMIIRC when I looked at the ingredients on the can, Gold had like half of all the same ingredients of the original No Fear. Most definitely nothing like 4 caffeine tabs and a vicodin for me.
Posted by: Kanabis at June 21, 2006 12:18 AMIt does not matter that Sobe puts creatine in its energy drinks. It does not help anyone in any way. Once creatine has been converted from its powder form to a liquod, like when its added to an energy drink, it will only stay chemically bonded as creatine for around 15 minutes. After that time it becomes creatinine, which is totally useless in providing energy. You just pay for it, then pee it out.

I also like the no fear gold. My question is, are these energy drinks safe for the kidneys and liver?
Posted by: Dean at November 28, 2006 03:05 PMNo fear is probably one of the best tasting energy drinks out there, up with ones like AMP and Rock Star. Although it tastes great and has nice bite to it, the energy was almost non apparent to me, and actually bogged me down.
Posted by: The Jazzman at January 1, 2007 04:33 PMSobe is not safe to drink... Had a niece drink it and ended up in the emergency room with a heart rate of 150 and short of breath, pain in chest. BE CAREFUL!!!!
Posted by: Jan at January 16, 2007 04:56 AMsobe gold is good but i prefer the regular sobe energy drink
Posted by: Paige at February 6, 2007 10:45 AMsobe gold is good but i prefer the regular sobe energy drink
Posted by: Paige at February 6, 2007 10:46 AMI love Sobe Gold! Posted by: Nick at February 25, 2007 11:22 PMI prefer adreniline rush b/c it tastes to me just like sobe no fear but condensed
Posted by: IMAGRU12 at February 26, 2007 08:56 PMMy dad is one of the creators of the sobe nofear
engergy supplement. i think they took out the
creatine because they wanted the two energy
drinks different...
but i am glad that people have good things to say
about the drink after the man that made monster
was supposed to make sobe nofear but just ran off
with the idea and changed the name.
so thanks you guys

Posted by: Britton at February 27, 2007 09:34 AMyou weak mothers energy drinks suck aint nothin compared to a fat blast of some crack or 25 cents of some good ice!
Posted by: rob at March 18, 2007 05:09 PMI hate all kinds of sobe, so I've never tried it. But the reason why I don't like it is because I had no fear and it tasted like shitty grapefruitjuice and carbonated water, yuk.
Posted by: Joe at March 29, 2007 08:00 PMThey both tasted the same to me as well. And on that note: Either one is PERFECT to make a fruit-flovored cocktail with.
Posted by: Bryan at March 30, 2007 04:38 PMthis might be my favorite energy drink...its easy to find, has a good kick, and tastes amazing! i just love it!
Posted by: Alex at May 15, 2007 02:32 PMI can't really drink the normal Sobe No Fear, whereas No Fear Gold is up there probably in my Top 3 Energy Drinks. It has the bittersweet taste like most energy drinks, but it has a distinct sweetness that makes me unable to stop drinking it. The kick isn't quite as much as Rockstar, but it still is very significant. I love it.
