You might want to stick to reviewing just Energy Drinks. Vault is a CSD by trademark and composition. It only markets itself as an Energy Hybrid Soda, but it is a Soda, not an Energy drink. It is not meant to simiulate or pose as an energy drink - thus will not have the taste/feelings you expect from energy drinks.
As a Soda, its sole intent is to mimic the taste of Dew, but offer higher 'energy' content.

This is more of a party drink. I like drinking it to have a little more energy but drink at night so its not too hard to sleep.

Vault Rocks! Coca-Cola is attacking the Mountain Dew market and doing a great job. Vault is not an energy drink, it kicks like one at a lower price. If you drink lots of caffinated products then you might not feel the kick like others will. It has more caffine than any other soda product on the shelf. Vault Zero with no sugar is awesome!

Vault is an Energy Drink it has 70mgs per 12oz. the reason the took surge off the market is because it had to much caffine to be called a soda. so they changed the name and called it an energy drink
Mountain dew has 55mgs per 12oz.
Red Bull has 80mgs per 8.3oz.
And the best Full Throttle has 141mgs per 16oz.

I'm not much for Coke products, but I decided to try it today so I bought a Vault Zero and it tasted HORRIBLE! Bleh! I don't even plan on trying the regular...Coke just released it because their weak Mello-Yello is no match for the Dew, and just like it's predecessor (Surge), Vault will gradually fade into non-existance...

It is not as horrible tasting and thick and nasty as surge and it contain almost 20 mg more of caffine than surge did. Vault Zero is horrible. There is no such thing as a sugar high. If you drink enough of it, it will keep you awake. A lot of common energy drinks contain the same amount of caffine as Vault. Redbull contains 115 mg of caffine. If you fall asleep after drinking a few Vaults, then caffine is not the way to keep you awake. Drinking 2 Vaults is like taking 1 No=Doz.

Vault may not be the highest of highs for energy, but it's a good compliment to a true energy drink. Drink it alongside an AMP tallboy or rockstar and you're up for the night.

Vault is terrible. I had 3 8 oz. glasses of it last night at work because we got it in place of Mellow Yellow (my favorite pop, and those Coke idiots are discontinuing it). I couldn't get to freaking sleep. Vault is a DRUG. Plain and simple.

Oh, and all energy drinks are bad for you. Caffeine is a diuretic, meaning it dehydrates you because it processes all of your body's water. There really aren't any health benefits from drinking energy drinks. You're taking DRUGS.

How can anyone drink such incredible amounts of this stuff? I have a friend who drinks this stuff like water, it is practically all her consumes and he will die. No one should drink this stuff and no one should live off it.

vault is great! i love it! of course im an energy drink addict but its a great substitution....cus its actually sold in schools or in fountains at resturaunts...which is like a great plus....and it has a milder taste...so yeah i deffinately think vault qualifies as an energy drink for the most part anyways.

I like it. I don't feel guilty about drinking as many Vault Zero's as I do, either. It's like a less syrupy Surge, but maybe less caffeine.

Also, you would have to drink a ridiculous amount of calories and sodium to get the same buzz that a real energy drink gives. So it is not a good alternative to simply drink a 2liter of the stuff.

I like the stuff. Yes it is not rockstar or any other true energy drink, but you can drink it with pizza. The stuff tastes just like Mellow Yellow, but with more caffeine. It is good when you want some caffeine, but you don't want to open up a $2 can of rockstar.

Vault is good...taste wise. Me and my cousin drank like two a peice, and it didn't do anything, except for make us feel tired,nausous,and hungover. There was no energy kick at ALL!!! But it did taste very good, but what happens after you drink it is not worth it.

Vault is a great "energy soda"...You guys that think that it does not work is simply because it works for different people in different ways. Think of it as a T.V. commercial when it says "Results may vary." For me its a great tasting soda (personally i like it better than dew) and for me it does give me alot of energy. For one of my friends it does not do anything but for another it makes him bounce off the wall. It just matters on how your body responds with it. I personally can drink 2 liters of it a day and be fine. Ive had blood test and everything just to be save and I am healthy as ever. It taste great and gives me that little boost to keep going. It does not dehydrate me either for those who say it does. Like I said...Result Vary.

The reason some of you think Vault is a great energy drink is likely due to the massive amount of sugar in it.
This stuff is not a good energy bev - it is a temporary fix akin to eating something like 42 teaspoons of plain white sugar....
If you like it, feel free to drink it by the caseload. But it isn't an energy drink, it is a wannabe energy drink, laden with sugar as its primary 'energy' source, which will result in a massive drop off.
Tried it. Thought it was sickeningly sweet. Chugged the bottle. Felt amped. Read the nutritional info and realized it contained huge quantities of sugar. Prepped myself for the crash. Crashed an hour later (I took a nap).
People who drink energy drinks are looking for a way to avoid this nonsense.
Long term use may result in diabetes.

I Love Vault, me and my friends always have it at our parties, It makes us extremely hyper and our teachers don't really like it and we almost got suspended/expelled because they thought we were high on school grounds and also Vault tastes WAY better if you mix it with Rockstar and Barqs Root Beer :) Me and my friends almost got aressted because we were mixing that in the Wild Waves (amusement park in Washington)parking lot because they thought we were mixing acohal... haha good times good times....

If I drink 2 cans of vault I cannot fall asleep. I went two days with 5 hours of sleep and never felt tired. Taste good and now there is a diet version.

My daughter-in-law drank half a can at the GMAC bowl parade (given out free from parade float). she immediately went rubber-legged and glassy-eyed. She does not drink and mixed it with nothing. My son (a Marine) had to carry her back to the truck. It finally wore off and she had major headache the next day. She has no known health problems and is only 22. This drink is very dangerous. She would have been in hospital had she drank the entire drink. My son drank the other half and he was fine. More study to be done??

Vault has the highest amount of caffeine of any soda on the market at 69mg per can, tastes better than Mountain Dew...so it owns. Of course it won't give you the kick of a $2 can of Rockstar or dedicated energy drink but the price/energy ratio can't be beat.

See, what you do is go to the fountain machine and mix (if you're fortunate enough to have Coke and Pepsi products) 3 parts Vault and 1 part Code Red Mountain Dew. For $.95 it's a tasty 44oz. beverage. For someone such as myself who rarely consumes caffeine it does give an extra little kick.

But, agreed - it's not an energy drink, nor is it advertised as one. And yes, caffeine is a drug, and like any other drug you build a tolerance to it. So to truly experience the 'energy' side of this beverage, drink in moderation, kids.

On a side note, I feel guilty as I'm somehow breaking a law by mixing Coke and Pepsi products... Someone get back to me on that.
