HiBall Energy Orange Soda (Dan's Review)
HiBall Energy Orange Soda
Cost: $1.50 10 oz
Active ingredients: Taurine, Guarana, Ginseng, B6, B12
Rating: 3 out of 10
This taste like nothing but soda water. I guess it sort of a horrible orange flavor. In fact it tastes much like orange vodka, which if it was a mixed drink and gave you a buzz might be OK, but this just tastes like crap. Seriously this is just thickened club soda, I doubt anyone that made this drink actually tasted it. It doesn't pump me up near as much as most other drinks out there, about the only good thing I can say is that there is only 10 calories in the drink. Yeah guess what it has no sugar, so what it has no flavor or taste, or at least no taste worth ever experiencing. This doesn't pump you up, it doesn't taste good, it doesn't do anything so, I say write it off as one of the many worthless energy drinks out there, grab yourself something else and walk past this clear water looking energy drink, because with hi ball is nothing to get excited about.

Posted by Dan at October 23, 2006 10:27 PMI really liked this stuff. The flavor is terrific and the buzz was fast. I would recommend it. Hard to find....amazon was sold out.
Posted by: thomas day at October 31, 2006 05:04 PMI really liked HiBall. The Lemon Lime flavor is my favorite. It gave me a nice boost with no crash. they also have a tonic water so I can have some natural energy with my gin. Its awesome.
Posted by: Bill at November 5, 2006 09:01 PMThis drink is perfect for anyone not wanting to sacrifice their health for an energy drink that is a gimmick name with tons of caffeine and sugar and all that other bullshit. Really hard to find, but I like the wildberry. You're review is way off Dan.
Posted by: AndrewWheeler at November 6, 2006 12:17 PMWow...It seems as though you missed what Hi*ball is all about. Me and my friends think it's the best thing going in energy drinks. It's like a Perrier with energy. Don't quit your day job, energy drink guy.
Posted by: Cheryl Wendel at November 6, 2006 07:58 PMTotally disagree... I think this is the best energy drink out there. I wouldn't touch any of the other sugary, green energy drinks. They practically burn a hole in your stomach. Try the wild berry or lemon lime. You might like them better, although orange is still probably my favorite. Hiball Rules!
Posted by: Aya at November 6, 2006 09:03 PMHiball is great Dan! The product (essentially a sparkling water with energy) and packaging is totally unique. I fell in love with this brand because of the clean taste of the drinks and the energy boost it gives you (way bigger than monster or red bull) without all the calories, sugar and artificial crap that makes your stomach ache.
Orange happens to be my second favorite, behind Wild Berry which i luckily found at my local Safeway this past weekend!!! SCORE!!!!!
Posted by: Fred at November 7, 2006 12:59 AMHiball is the perfect pick-me-up after a long morning of caring for two young kids. It also jump starts my workouts with the perfect balance of hydration and energy! There is nothing else out there like it...trust me. When we moved to the east coast a year ago I had no idea Hiball would be one of the things I missed most about California. I can't wait until it blows up everywhere. The flavors are an added bonus...I've been a fan of this drink since it was only offered as club soda and tonic.
Posted by: Allie at November 7, 2006 05:17 AMWhat.....you're crazy??!! Hiball is amazing and orange is one of their best flavors. Whether you're working out or going out hiball is the way to go.....delicious, light tasting....try their Lime flavor - you won't be disappointed! If only the water cooler at work was full Hiball :)
You could not be more incorrect about Hi-Ball. I do not know what you were drinking, but I think you consumed something other than Hi-Ball. All the flavors are great. As an athlete it is refreshing to have an energy drink out there that is also good for you. Given the other choices, I would always go for the Hi-Ball. You are giving your readers some bad advice on this one. Dan - Try It Again.
Posted by: Ben Brewer at November 7, 2006 02:10 PMI'm with Dan. These drinks do nothing and just taste like bad seltzer. Much better stuff out there.
Posted by: Nick at November 10, 2006 09:02 AMI think that the whole point of Hiball is to be different. A lot of people, myself included, really enjoy seltzer water, and now we have an energy drink. Does anyone know where to buy by the case? Amazon doesn't seem to have any....

Posted by: justin at March 30, 2007 06:44 AMI haven't tasted the orange but don't mess with my lime! I start thinking about my hi ball around 2:30 in the afternoon while sitting at my work desk and considering an afternoon run. Definitely get a buzz and wake up call that kicks me in to my next gear. Love the taste, and love the realiable energy boost. -Lynn from Doylestown
Posted by: lynn goldman at May 3, 2007 03:01 PMVery similar to Perrier. Some are going to like it, some are not. I do.
Posted by: Joe at May 5, 2007 12:13 PMI love Hi*Ball! None of that artificial sweet taste...just a light refreshing, low calorie energy drink. I love the glass bottles...keeps it cold until you are finished with it. The best- of all energy drinks!
