Jolt Cola, I remember it like it was something cool and hardcore back in high school. My how the mighty have fallen. Jolt you were one of the first high caffeine drinks back with original jolt cola. The times have changed though other drinks pack more of a punch with other ingredients and more caffeine in them as well. So I guess your behind on the times. Jolt red is really just a cherry coke, and jolt blue is a blueberry cola. I guess I will give some points for creativity here as there aren't many blueberry colas around. I mean It kind of tastes like if you left a blueberry blow pop in a coke for awhile. My biggest problem with jolt besides the lack of getting a kick from it, is that it is far to sweet. I mean this is a sugar laced cotton candy sweet drink. It kind of tastes like syrup, not something I am a fan of. When I was much younger I liked all the sugar I could handle so if your young this is a sugary drink you will probably love. If you have grown up at all you probably won't find the taste very satisfying. Anyways, Jolt time to try something a bit new, try adding in some Guarana and Yerba Mate, then cut down on the sugar, and get some more natural flavors in there. There is nothing natural about the flavor of a blue raspberry blow pop. The coolest thing about Jolt cola's are the cans, seriously very cool keep the can, they reminding of some sort of weird oil can. I know they could be used as a weapon or to permanently seal in toxic waste and I like that. These are big solid cool looking cans. Yippie I had something good to say about Jolt, come on Jolt we used to love you, return to glory with a proper energy drink product. I look forward to a new product and a new idea from you. This blue cola left me feeling gross and dirty, why did you do me like that Jolt, why?

Posted by: burney at April 25, 2007 04:52 PMWell, I'm 18, and my friend Cam is 16. We go over to the convenience store down the street and buy Blue Jolt all the time. I think you misjudge the flavor. I don't taste blueberry, or blue raspberry, or anything like that. I've tasted those, and this isn't much like them. Whatever it is, we both love it, as do many of my other friends. It disturbs me that you don't get even a little wired from this stuff. There's three servings in those massive cans, each with more caffeine than a 12oz can of Coke. I agree that it doesn't pack as much punch as others, but you get a lot more soda for your money, and as such you don't end up chugging the whole thing right away and forgetting the flavor. It's not a taste you're meant to pay much attention to, which is why it's so heavily carbonated (which can be a lot of fun in its own right). All in all, I think you have poor judgment. This soda isn't really meant to be a true energy drink. It's just a light caffeine supplement.
Posted by: Draconicus at June 16, 2007 12:18 PMI remember Jolt & Josta sodapops. We used to buy a case of each back in the early 1990's and play all night ShadowRun and D&D. After about 4 hours of the sodapop, our characters took on a life of their own. *lol* Now I am a mother and have forgotten the ability of the all-mighty all nighter.
Posted by: squeekers at August 10, 2007 10:43 PMI love Jolt! I think the blue one tastes like a blue raspberry slurpee. It might not pack much of a punch, but it has a very good taste. Try it ice cold.
