Are energy drinks bad for health?
A worried parents asks about the effects of red bull energy drink and gets a highly details response. Since we get alarmist articles about energy drinks so often at Energy Drink News, it is great to see a clear good response. Honestly I think this is on of the more correct and detailed answers to the question are energy drinks bad for your health. As for its physiologic effects, it is likely that the vast majority of the Red Bull stimulatory effect is due to the caffeine alone. There may or may not be an additional benefit attributed to the taurine and the glucuronolactone. Since Red Bull and a cup of coffee contain about the same amount of caffeine, the stimulatory effect of Red Bull may be due to the fact that Red Bull is served cold and can be consumed in a shorter period of time giving one a "blast" of caffeine that when wrapped in a Red Bull marketing program and a high price gives the consumer the sense that he has acquired more than an expensive cup of coffee...
