UPDATE: Guest review by Ben this drink accidentally got reviewed twice to check out the original review of vitaminenergy dragonfruit. Sorry for the confusion.
From the makers fruitwater, smartwater, and vitaminwater comes vitaminenergy and I have to say the dragonfruit flavor is a tasty drink. It's got a very good fruit flavor that isn't too syrupy or sweet. Plus, dragons are hardcore. Well, at least the European ones. They were always eating people and breathing fire. The eastern ones always came off as a little wussy to me. But the did make for awesome looking parade costumes, so what do I know?
Anyway, this drink tastes pretty great and gives you some good energy to boot. I'm not entirely sure what the difference between "caffeine" and "natural caffeine " is, but this drink supposedly has the natural variety. I'm no chemist, but isn't it all the same atoms arranged in the same configuration?
I also have to give credit to Glaceau for making a can that's not only cool-looking but also actually fun to read. The can has 3+ paragraphs of text on it, but it's actually pretty funny, so you'll find yourself reading it aloud to your friends as you chug this drink down. In case you don't have a can handy, here's what it says:
evolution is a good thing right? just think if you didn't change, you'd still be rocking your calculator watch, sporting your fifth grade mullet, and using expressions like "gag me with a spoon."
well, evolution is also a good thing for energy drinks, they're full of artificial ingredients that not only taste bad, they set you up for a quick take off and an even quicker crash. call us crazy, but that doesn't sound like a smart idea. so we cracked open our 8th grade science books and learned two very important lessons. first, nutrients give you energy and second, kissing someone in your bathing suit won't make you pregnant.
that's why we packed this drink with key nutrients to give you that extra sumthin' sumthin'. things like natural caffeine for immediate energy , c and b vitamins for metabolic energy and ribose for sustained energy. so while you other energy
drinks are rolling in your pintos and grooving to you 8 track decks... we'll just be over here with our ipod, prius, and this cool new things called "the future."
not recommended for children, pregnant women, or people sensitive to caffeine.
recommended for people who have children, those trying to get pregnant or people in search of natural energy.
nutrients are the new energy
the inside in natural. the outside is aluminum.

I still use phrases like "gag me with a spoon." Actually, it's a favorite:)
