This is completely wrong in this article, Energy drinks might be targeted to athletes but most athletes know that like soda, these drinks are extremely dehydrating and not a substitute for things like Gatorade and water. Some of the extremely wired drinks caused increased heart rate which when combined with intense activity can cause heart problems.
I could see a motobiker or skater using these, but football players, runners, and any others that will be in constant high intensity action for more then 15 minutes at once shouldn't drink these before events!
