In a market that has become saturated with over 200 brands and is dominated by 5 Hour Energy, up and comers need to find new ways to set themselves apart. "Big energy in a small package", thats what the people over at Bevolution have cooked up. This 1 fl oz shot packs a punch with 171 mg of caffeine. In comparison Rockstar Energy Shot has 200 mgs but thats for a 3 fl oz bottle, so this puts AMMO at the #1 spot for Most Caffeine.

With the preservatives and so much caffeine I was wondering how Ammo would mask any bitterness or burn taste. I decided to try the Citrus Ice Full Force shot first and I must say it had a sweet green apple taste but not overpowering. It wasn't too concentrated and the viscosity was good. I tasted no burn and no medicinal after taste. I recommend you only to take sips when consuming ANY energy shot, if you down this puppy it will knock you on your ass. The fact that AMMO is a 1 ounce bottle is also nice seeing how 3 fl oz and sometimes even 2 fl oz bottles are too overpowering and hard to finish. The sugar free and low carb Purple Dragon wild berry tasted like a combination of cherry and rasberry. The Extreme sport fruit punch had a Hi-C; Hawaiian Punch flavor very true to fruit punch. Likewise the blue razz tasted much like blueberry and rasberry.

The kick from this puppy is not to be underestimated. 171 mgs of caffeine will jump start your morning like a swift kick in the pants. But the cool thing is they have a caffeine counter on the outside packaging to regulate your caffeine intake. Now if the meter is to scale or not is up for debate. Regardless its a cool feature that I've never seen before. I tried the five different shots during the week and had plenty of energy to do some of the bitch work that needed to be done. Hence the company warehouse is pretty clean now. As far as a crash, I suffer from voluntary insomnia so to blame any yawns on this shot would not be fair. For this reason I've been drinking one of these a day the past week. Especially if I know there is strenious work to be done.

Bottom Line- Ammo Energy Shots are one of the best energy shots I've reviewed so far. I like the size of the bottle, I'm not sensitive to caffeine so I also like the boost it gives me. It costs under $2.00 and the taste is prime. This is a shot well worth your money spent.
