I love the name of this energy drink! For those of you who do not know, Cowboy Up is a phrase used to describe a situation in which you need to man-up and take a greater handle on things. It is very familiar in smaller ranch states and towns, as well as country-western culture. Now as for the energy drink, it tastes a similar to a beer with a barley malt taste. But, they have added apple flavors for sweetness which are dominant as well. I am not sure the two make the best taste once combined, but it isn't what I would consider to be bad. Contrary to the beer bottling choice, it is non-alcoholic. Another awesome notation about this drink is the spur bottle opener that is attached to all of their bottles for convenient opening. I have to say that is a great touch and it looks really cool. As far as energy, it gets a 7/10. Nothing too crazy, but enough to notice and make a difference. The concept and quotes on the bottle are really what sold me, check them out!
Bottom Line: A major hit with the cowBOYS, especially because it looks like beer, tastes similar to beer, and comes with a free spur bottle opener! Not only does it give you an energy boost, but you feel manly drinking it.
