Rockstar Energy Cola
Rockstar Energy Cola
Cost: 2.00 16 oz
Active ingredients: Caffeine, Taurine, Ginseng, Carnitine, Guarana, Inositol, B2,B3,B5,B6, B12,Milk thistle, Ginko
Rating: 8 out of 10
This is a different rockstar flavor that has been out for awhile but i never got around to reviewing. I am not a big fan of cola's is part of the lower score (I actually like the taste of red bull and its clones). If you really prefer the coke and Pepsi flavors over many energy drinks this is DEFINATELY the drink for you. It does taste just like cola. A tiny aftertaste is there but I wouldn't even call it a bad aftertaste, just a little different than the colas. So this make an excellent rum and coke replacement if you want to get the extra energy and have your rum and coke. I have to say that is something that is does very well. As for energy it is good and definitely pumped me up pretty good. So that is awesome, I would definitely buy this over some cokes if I was planning on doing a rum and coke night... So Rock on Rockstar you have many a fan and I am one of them.

Alright a new flavor of Monster, I actually like this one better than the original by quite a bit. I am a big fan of this new drink... In fact the only complaint I can even come up with is that I would prefer it with a little less carbonation. It has a very different flavor, that is nothing like any other energy drink out on the market right now. It is a fruity flavored drink but has hints of many other things in it... It almost has a very slight mystical spice to it. Anyways I really liked the flavor, and it is one of the best energy drinks I have had in awhile, I was excited about writing the review for it cause I dug it so much. So much that I might have to lower Monsters rating cause this one is much better in my opinion... hehe. Anyways definitely pumps you up and is in the double size can for the same price as redbull. Seriously I think red bull is going to have to do a large size can soon, cause just for the money all the new drinks are beating redbull out on the quantity of the ingredients that get you pumped up. So yeah this mixes well, tastes great, and pumps you up like all hell. So let it be said that Monster is starting to grow on me as a company.

I recently had a reader that questioned all of the
(Fun facts Tylor and the other person they refer to (kevin AKA dooshbag) come from the same IP range in the same city... Ala same person, even though they dispute this)
Dan
"The Energy Man" I reading your original review and I have to agree with Tylors post. You have no clue about what your talking about and because after reviewing what he said I did some research. What are the benefits you claim all these drinks bring to the table. Tylor claims the energy is all about the caffeine. You say its other ingredients like Gaurana and Taurine and other stuff besides the caffeine. I like how you make the words "the other stuff" sound so nutritionally beneficial and try to come across like your some kind informative beverage expert.
I say things like other stuff cause there is to much 'stuff' to talk about in a tiny little comment.... you gigantic doosh. I have read plenty about this stuff before but never cared enough to compile all the info on this stuff until such a doosh bag as yourself motivated me... So thanks.
I can not believe you also are so defensive and call people doosh bags to make up for your lack of inteligence and uneducated points of view and reviews. What the hell do you think Gaurans is? It is a red berry from the Amizon and has the same propriortay effects as caffeine only it is a weaker version of the drug. It has the same stimulating effects as caffiene and is almost made up of the same molecular structure. Caffeine is a regulated stimuland and drug, also addictive, proven perfectly safe by (GRAS)and guarana is not yet regulated there for they can add this as an additive and there is nothing the FDA or Health Canada can do about it. I bet you have also no clue about Taurine and what it is let alone the amounts parts per million listed in a caN would have no baring effect on any benefits to you system other than marketing hype and lipservice. I assume you believe all the uneducated rumors about Taurine and that it come from bulls testicals. What a bunch of bullshit one again and marketing hype.
So let me see we have "CAFFEINE" a proven energy enhancer. Gaurana a weaker derivative of the caffeine family, a proven energy enhancer used for years in these South American Countries but new to North America. Taurine, I will not do your home work for you. You are not lazy "Energy DAN" and you will splash open a reserve of energy from your forward thinking, robotic hearded sheep mantality cans of BULLSHIT.
Then there is sugar almost six table spoons per small can "MR ENERGY DAN". Refined sugar stumps me "DAN THE MAN WHO BELIEVES ENERGY COMES FROM A CAN" but I think it is a partial cause for feeling hyperness and an observed form of energy. Let me fill you in on surgar "ENERGY DAN THE MAN, but first let me quote Einstein.
Quick a link about recommended sugar dosages during work outs:
"You can make an excellent home-brewed 7.6 percent sports drink with reasonable sodium amounts. Add 6 tablespoons sugar and 1/3 teaspoon salt to each quart of water."
-J. Anderson and L. Young, Colorado State University Cooperative Extension foods and nutrition specialist and professor
Dan, Einstein starts with an E and his theory of relativity does not mean E = "Energy IN A CAN". Einstein once said that the answers to problems do not come from the same state of consciousness that created them. That is the key, and growth in consciousness begins with the awareness about the nature of what is happening. Virtually all the credibility of the mass media about food, and the companies that supply food, is based not on just you but also public ignorance.
lets get back to refined sugar "THE ENERGY BULLSHIT ROCKSTAR FAN NAMED DAN", stick around and let me box your ears, you might make me fell dumb and educate your readers a little more on the other benificial ingredients you claim are in the products for other than the "CAFFEINE" hype and sugar boost that has made these overpriced and slick packaging products such as RED BULLSHIT, Monster, BAWLS, RockST*R and about 700 hundred other hearded sheep, robotic copy cat beverages such a splash with the moronic teen generation so much dumber than there parents.
Sugar when refined in colas, sports and energy drinks, also processed foods(which are laced with refined sugar) become purified synthetically and are stripped of there original life force, vitamins and minerals rendering them nutitionally useless. What remains "ENERGY EDUCATING US ALL DAN" is a sterile, pure carbohydrate that the human body cannot use. When ingested, there is incomplete metabolism, resulting in the formation of toxic compounds, such as pyruvic acid and sucrose structures containing 5 carbon atoms. The pyruvic acid accumulates in the brain and the nervous system and the abnormal structures accumulate in the blood, interfering with the normal respiratory process of the cell and depriving them of oxygen. In order to even absorb this "pre-digested" carbohydrate, the body has to deplete its natural store of vitamins and minerals (thiamine and B minerals and vitamins) So here we have the great benifical energy drinks happily gorging your robot hearded moronic pockets and depleting our natural benefically stored vitamins. "ENERGY DAN" are you still with me and the evolution and revolution of your complete ignorance and thoughts that live in a can. We still have the "CAFFEINE" "ENERGY DAN THE EDUCATING ENERGY REVIEW MAN" some purified municipal chemically treated water to get rid of the bacteria, other dumped harmful chemicals and toxins, our shit and piss and whatever else is in the water that comes from the same BULLSHIT place that goes in to a can. Now lets start moving backwarde throwing in all the sterile shit artifical synthetc B2,B3,B5,B6,B12 minerals (taken from you first review posting) back in to our bodys to make up for the natural nutritional vitamins that were sripped out when we added the benefical drink loaded with six table spoon of refined sugar into our bodys in the first place.
actually we can process refined sugar just fine... Yeah it does have all the natural vitamins and other beneficial things stripped out of it, but that is why all the B vitamins and other minerals are adding into the drink. Also althele have a need for this sugar as stated in my last comment, but here is some more info:
I could go on and on but i think I will let "ENERGY DAN THE EDUCATING REVIEW MAN" blog.
On a leaving note "ENERGY DAN OUR ENERGY DRINKING EDUCATING US MAN" EYE will be back for a doosh bag calling me out review of your reply which leads me back to "TYLOR'S" post.
TYLOR I believe in what you sais is true, it is all about the "CAFFEINE" because it does work, it is a stimulant the gives you energy and it is an addictive drug that keeps you coming back. Alot of companys such as Coke and Pepsi have made a fortune of addicting people to there products by spiking them with "CAFFEINE", it is the main ingredient and the only reason for all others adding artificial additives, flavourings, colourings refined sugar carbohydrates, preservatives and artificial minerals your body does not require if you are only looking just for the boost. The other mystery ingredient besides the ones EYE have mentioned are in these colas, sports and energy drinks to designed to mask the taste of the "CAFFEINE" one of the most bitter substances around.
Actually all of the added minerals (which is doesnt matter if artifical or synthetic cause we can use either in our body you skank.), vitamins, and other ingredients have uses in helping you actually produce more energy with your own body by increasing your metabolism and replenishing used salts and sugars in your system. Of course i will not fight you about there also being a point to flavoring a drink favorable... so we agree on something.
Thank you "TYLOR" for educating me on BUZZWATER. I thought you were kidding. There really is a caffeinated spring water high in naturally occuring minerals with zero sugars, carbs, calories or mystery ingredients. I bought a case and it's what i have been looking for for years, just the boost from the "CAFFEINE and what a boost. 200mg of "CAFFEINE" in a cold, crisp, clean, clear refreshing and invigorating bottle of premium spring water "ENERGY DAN" Red BULLSHIT has 80mg of "CAFFEINE" and most of the other hearded drinks like Monster, Bawls Rockstar have the same or less. Where are the wings DAN?. It do not give you wings it rips you off and gives you BULLSHIT. Where's the Bawls DAN? The drink has no "CAFFEINE" BAWLS. Where's the "CAFFEINATED" Monster DAN? BUZZ Lite has 100mg of "CAFFEINE" in its Lite product, that product alone has more WINGS more BAWLS more MONSTER than all of them put together and only cost a $1.29 per bottle. The king of "CAFFEINE is BUZZWATER, and not one of these drinks can compete with the 100mg BUZZ Lite of even take a trip outside the constallations, look up and look out with gravatational lensing to shine the shoes of BUZZWATER 200mg "CAFFEINATED" product that cost $1.49 per bottle. You should check it out people at www.buzzwater.com. Thank you once again TYLOR for turning me on.
actually since rockstar and many of the other double sized cans for the same cost have 2 doses that puts there caffeine at about 150-200 mg for many of these energy drinks that also have all the vitamins and salts that you need to replentish as well... I will say that buzzwater has one good thing... working out and these energy drink dehydrate you... Caffeine itself is extremely dehydrating... so drinking water as well is a good thing.

Energy Drink Ingredients
Since many of the people that are drinking multiple energy drinks a day don't actually know what all is in them and what they have done here I have broken down the most common ingredients of the energy drinks and provided many links for more detailed information of how they help you and give you more energy. So if you want to know more about what your taking and how these chemicals effect your body continue reading. If you know more or have found a great link about any of the ingredients post them here.

Taurine: Is one of the lesser known amino acids. It plays several important roles in the body. It may help with reactive oxygen, respiratory burst, and there is some evidence it is an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. It has also been linked to other metabolic functions but it is not clear. Why is it not clear, because it hasn't been fully researched and much of what it does is still unknown. There is a lot of research going into Taurine right now. There is is a lot of research into the effects of Taurine on the hearts functions. Obviously many users have also noticed a stimulating effect from this amino acid as it is included in most energy drinks, but since it hasn't been proof it must mean it does nothing... Nope it just means it hasn't been studied closely by the FDA, it is currently under investigation in parts of the world and some drinks with it have been banned in France, Sweden, and Iceland.

Guarana:
Contains caffeine (It also contains modest amounts of related compounds theophylline and theobromine) and other ingredients it has the same effects as caffeine, but hasn't been studied as closely many users believe there are additional benefits to this drug. It has been used in and surrounding Brazil for a long time. It has also been found to increase weight loss and increase the rate of fat loss.

Caffeine:This is a well known and trusted stimulant... I will leave it at that. Since this isn't disputed caffeine is a known stimulant... you get 70-200 mg from most energy drinks... A full can of Rockstar gives you 150 mg
ginkgo:
Known to Increases metabolism, enhance circulation, is an antioxidant, increases immunity... Yeah there is still more to know about this one, but increases metabolism sure is energy producing.

B vitamins:
B vitamins helps us produce energy and in the current diet is believed to be low for most people. These vitamins are essential for the breakdown of carbohydrates into glucose, which provides us energy, the breakdown of fats and proteins. Things like riboflavin, niacin, and other odd names are frequently found in energy drinks that are just other names for B vitamins B2,B3 and whatnot.

Full Throttle
Cost: 2.00 16 oz
Active ingredients: Caffeine, Taurine, Ginseng, Carnitine, Guarana, B6, B12
Rating: 7 out of 10
OK Full throttle... This is obviously a big drink that is easy to find everywhere because it is from Coca-Cola. Right there i am not a big fan of them, many cause of some of their advertising rules at the Olympics. Anyways about the actual product... Pretty good taste with a citrus lime flavor... Doesn't have as bad of the Red bull like taste that some hate others love. Anyways the energy isn't bad, but I get more of a kick from either Monster or Rockstar, which also come in the over sized cans. This has less taurine and other energy ingredients than many of the other over sized drinks. So I would not really go for this unless you really don't like the taste of the other oversized cans. Even then if you don't like Monster or rock star I would try to find something else like trying monster assualt which i will review soon and I was quite impressed with. Full throttle mixes out doesn't cover the flavor as well as many others because of its lighter flavor.

Active ingredients: (claims 196 active compounds) L-Cartine, Taurine, Ginseng, Green Tea, B1,B2,B3, B6, B12
Rating: 2.5 out of 10 (perhaps the lowest review ever)
OK this doesn't happen often but i couldn't even finish this drink. It tasted like bitter bitter prune juice. First who that is in the relatively young age market for energy drinks likes prune juice... Who are they marketing to, old women that want a big boost and want to keep regular bowel movements as well. Seriously what in the hell were they thinking when creating this drink. I will say that it is 100% organic and natural and la la, healthy lets only work out while eating vitamins cause I'm gonna live forever... So yeah this is a drink created for the very earth and health conscious. To bad it tastes so discussing that most people looked like were going to cry just from the smell of it. Anyways unless your a very old woman I would avoid this product, but if you really have a think for prune juice check it out... it was made just for you... Seriously made with concentrated plum juice... right on the package.

Killer Buzz
Kill Buzz
Cost: 2.00 8.3 oz (less if you sell to others)
Active ingredients: Caffeine, Taurine, GHAA, B6, B12
Rating: 8 out of 10
What's all the Buzz about, hehe sorry for my lame humor... So how does this latest entry into the energy drink competition handle itself? Well lets start out with the flavor, It is pretty good, it is lighter and smoother than redbull it doesn't have the acidic flavor that redbull has. It is a citrus like drink but has a hint of grape flavor as well. It is lightly carbonated as most are. Anyways I and my friends all digged the flavor. Well the lighter taste while taster as a regular drink, it does have the draw back that it doesn't mix as well. The flavor doesn't cover alcohol as well, but it still does a fairly good job, it is definitely mixable, probably at 30% which puts it in the slightly above avg mixing category. So the energy and what is that ingredient GHAA anyways? Alright the energy is good but it seems to be shorter than many other energy drinks, with a quicker strong initial pick me up and then fading away a little quicker than others. So the energy is good, and if your looking for a fast short rush this is the way to go. The GHAA that we haven't seen in other drinks is a proprietary blend of 17 amino acids, that is supposed to pump you up. So i guess it works cause these definitely cause a stir in my body. Over all Killer Buzz does pretty well, if you don't like the acid like flavor to redbull, rockstar, and others it is a lighter smoother drink with much the same rush, that is worth checking out. However you can't find it in stores so if your interested you can order online...
(Letting you know this is a referer link below if you buy from that link i get some money. If that bothers you just go to killerbuzz.net and purchase for the same price and I get nothing... just letting everyone know so they don't think it skews my review)

Airforce Nutrisoda Immune
Cost: 2.00 8.4 oz
Active ingredients: Echinacea, B6, B12
Rating: 7 out of 10
This is another weird not quite an energy drink but close enough for me to review kind of item. OK so what is it well it is one of those healthy all good for you energy drinks. This means no sugar, no carbs, no caffeine, no sodium, no aspartame... It does have 10 calories, oh no i am so scared... so wait none of the good stuff how does this taste with no sugar or anything in it... Surprisingly really good. I was expecting it to taste like some kinda of fruitier but gross V8 juice, but this was great. It was really refreshing lightly carbonated fruity soda. It is flavored with tangerine and lime. and naturally. This drink is designed to help you from not getting sick, and has all sorts of other stuff i have never heard of in it that isn't really for energy but good for your body. It did give me a little wake up... Obviously nothing in comparison to a redbull, but it was a little lift. It has a simple flavor the is overpowered by alcohol pretty quickly so it doesn't do well there, so why the decent rating? Honestly cause it was refreshing and i felt good after drinking it, and it is the kind of thing that would be great to have on a hot summer day, nice smooth taste, refreshing, and very tasty. So if your looking for pure energy, this isn't for you. If you want a refreshing drink for a little pick me up and to feel better, this is a great and very healthy choice for you. I highly recommend it for people that are traveling and trying to avoid getting sick, one of these before boarding a plane would be great.
