Unfortunately my back to school excitement has been muffled by pre-wedding chaos. I am, however, very excited to be returning to school. This time with a vision and a mission. For those of you who may not know I'm going back to school after a two year break to complete my degree in Behavioral Science and get my Elementary Education License.
I owe my new found vision and spark to so many people but most notably Maggie Gibbs. We met Maggie with her counterpart Drew at a Spitalfield show almost a year ago. That night Maggie and I bonded, first over a cigarette, then Aveda, and most importantly education. We've been friends ever since but what she probably doesnt know is that she's also become my mentor. Maggie is a kindergarten teacher at an elementary school near Denver's Five Points neighborhood and she's an absolute inspiration.
Thank you Maggie Gibbs.
